I myself, have had the same issue with MTE Financial. I had a $300 loan, in which they were taking $90.00 bi-weekly out of my paychecks. This number gradually went to $125.00, then at one point to $140.00. I bank with a Federal Credit Union, and visited the bank in person to find out about my options. By the time this entire ordeal was over, MTE Financial had taken $980.00 from me, for a $300.00 Loan. My Credit Union placed a Stop Payment for ALL ACH Transactions on my account, and it's funny how you could never get a live representative from this company, until they notice a stop payment. They called threatning to take me to court....It was my Credit Unions decision to do this..Luckily, and my Credit Union REFUNDED the entire amount back to me, minus what I actually owed MTE. My Credit Union filed a fraud dispute against this company, as apparantly on all of their transactions to the bank, they never included contact info, or account numbers, that in which threw up red flags for my Credit Union. My advice: Request a stop payment, and consult your bank!! Hopefully, I have been able to help :) I finally have this company in my past!! Thank Goodness!!!
