This company sent out their guy to take pictures of our house for our home owners insurance. He told me when he got out of the car that he was new and this was one of his first inspections, or "Surveys" as they like to call them. So right away I wonder how much training this guy has had in doing inspections since my husband is a licensed building inspector, but I had hoped he knew what he was doing. He had a cell phone on a selfie stick to use to take the photos, ok, where's your actual camera? So he walks around taking his pictures, when we get to the back of my house he takes a picture of the plastic wall we built around our covered back deck so our friends have somewhere dry to smoke that is not inside my house. I tried to tell him that this is not the back wall of my house and show him where it really is. He refuses to come closer, telling me he's not allowed in the home. Your not going in my house you're going under the covered porch.
When the pictures and report come out, this guy has stated on these photos what stuff is. but it's all wrong, he told our insurance company that the back and front walls of my house are made of plastic and falling over. He called my boat, my camper and my riding lawnmower "Junk Vehicles" He said my BBQ, Smoker and other lawnmower were "Junk Appliances". He shows the same piece of missing gutter in 4 pictures so they think I have 4 pieces of missing gutter. He says in his report that there is "Missing siding" on my house where there is none. He says I need a new roof because there is some moss on 1 of the 8 sections of my roof, I live in Oregon, and the moss is dead you can tell from the color in the photos. He claimed my 2 dogs are boxers and that they challenged him. They are boarder collies, he even asked what they were for the report, and I had them on their leashes, which you can see in the photo, and they think they get to go for a car ride when I put their leashes on them, they didn't challenge him, they wanted in the car.
In short these "inspectors" are untrained idiots who have no idea what they are looking at, if I had plastic walls on my house can you imagine what my power bill would be like? These people don't want to talk to you about your report and yet their report is what gets your insurance cancelled. They have to much power and no one is over seeing or double checking what they say to the insurance companies. This is just wrong.
