Music City Record Distributors Given proper 2 weeks notice, did not pay me for Vacation time ripoff Nashville Tennessee
Music City Record Distributors, INC AKA Cat's Music AKA Monster Music AKA Sonic AKA Poptunes
I worked for MCRD (Music City Record Distributors)for a total of 32 Months (2 Years, 8 months) never had any write-ups, referrals, always on time, worked when needed, went out of my way for customers, in short, I busted a*s for Cat's Music.
About a month ago I decided that my time at MCRD/Cat's Music was done, I put in my two weeks, I worked my two weeks and I left so quietly you'd forget I was ever there to begin with.
Before I left I and a co-worker who was in fact Manager at the time put in for our vacation (which we earned) before we left so we could make sure we were paid it.
Lo and behold, two weeks later, when I check my bank account to see what the direct deposit was, i see a paltry sum not even equaling half of one of my usual checks. Ok, so I also find out that my former co-worker also did not receive vacation pay. On top of that, I find out that the vacation time was axed by the big man himself, Bruce Carlock.
Well, anyway, I needed that money more than Mr. Carlock I'm sure, although music sales are in fact waayy down and continue to spiral into an unending oblivion that I would surmise is somewhere in the near future anyway.
Anyway, just so you know, if you ever do work for MCRD or any of their stores, remember, VACATION PAY IS OBVIOUSLY NOT DESERVED WHEN YOU HAVE TO EARN IT.
