MWI Connections - DealPass.com unauthorized charge to my credit card and an attempted 2nd charge to my credit card 10/3/03 Miami Florida
I called my bank to find money that was supposed to be in my account and found out MWI Connections had debited my credit card without my authorization for $96.00. I called this company and was told it was a memebership and I do not know how this even happened because I have not surfed the net for about 2 months now and was told that my bank must put me on a no solicitation list for the future.
I was informed by my bank that this company also tried to make a second charge to my credit card for the same amount. I was advised by my bank that this company will be investigated and I need to put everything in writing about what happened. When I called MWI Connections there was a recording on every thing and I chose cancel membership before I could reach a real person and when a real person was on the line with me they noted that my membership was canceled but I never ordered a membership in the first place so what kind of scam is this and how do I protect myself from this happening on my credit card in the future?
