MWI Galleria USA ripoff said I signed up a year ago during an infommercial purchase Connecticut Internet
I just checked my Nov. credit card statement, and noticed the suspicious $149.95 charge that I couldn't recall. I searched online and found ripoff reports statements. I called the credit card company who said they would credit my account, and file a dipute.
I called the number for MWI Galleria USA 800-547-5371, and was told that I had agreed to the service, via a 30 day trial to the service a year ago when I purchased an item from an infommercial, a Wave Action Massager, over the phone. If that is so, maybe I faintly remember talking to an annoying telemarketer after the purchase, but I'm sure I wouldn't have agreed to a $139.95 anything type of service to be charged to my credit card.
The MWI person said that I was charged $139.95 last year, but I watch statements, and without calling the credit card company, can pretty surely say that I wasn't charged.
It looks like they decided that I am a renewal member with a membership number, and all of the benefits included.
YolandaID#14416 has cancelled my membership, and everything should be fine............
I'll shy away from infommercial purchases from now on. I hope that I get my money back, and I don't know how they can validate that I agreed to their service. Maybe they got me to say yes after some other question, then used the recording as my agreement to their terms.....
