I will spare the initial details of my origins with My Perfect Credit. Similar to those before me subscribed, canceled within an hour of subscribing, e-mailed and called countless times for status on the credit of three unauthorized charges to my account for a total of $99.

I started receiving the recorded messages on 7/22. My several attempts to return the call always dumped me into the voice box for Ms. Bullard. I left a message (when her box wasn't full) on several occasions to have her return my call. I wasn't aware of any issues with any of my accounts and was very leery of revealing too much information on the recorder. The recorded messages continued so I called last Tuesday and 0ed to the operator. The operator didn't ever ask what my call was concerning and transferred me to an extremely rude representative. After putting me on hold for several minutes, he informed me that the account in question was for My Perfect Credit. I was shocked to be informed that I owed $117.05 seeing as I'd been waiting four months to receive the $99 owed to me.

During this initial call, I was overwhelmed with anger to have my excellent credit threatened and being told I had no avenue to dispute the charges. After hanging up on the rep, I immediately hit the Internet and was met with all the hits to this web site.

When I received another call this morning with yet another rude representative, I calmly relayed the timeline of my case. I explained that I was still awaiting a credit back to my card from MPF. My details fell on deaf ears he quickly offered a 40% discount if I would resolve the debt today. I notified him the only thing I wanted was written information surrounding my account and informed him that I, along with a number of other consumers, where already in touch with the Attorney Generals Office. He quickly told me he would FAX the information to me and abruptly hung up the phone on me of course without even getting my FAX number.

I have been empowered by all the great suggestions posted to this site. I have every intention of stirring up some feathers. I'm sure this company will continue to badger and harass consumers until they cave and pay there $50+ dollar debts. But as someone mentioned earlier in the string, $50 times the countless number of consumers makes for a huge chunk of change.

So many great suggestions to fight this on a personal level. I would encourage those who are wanting to go more public about this injustice to start hitting the media with details of their situation. Nothing like a juicy segment to bring light to this fraudulent activity especially for the elderly audience or those who are not so fortunate to have access to these type of resources.

Good Luck to all of you.
