We are extremely sorry to hear about Olga's experience with My Twinn. To give a little back ground, the original My Twinn company based in Denver dissolved completely in late 2003/early 2004. The name was then purchased by The Parent Company (at the time known as eToys Direct, Inc) in 2005. Unfortunately, The Parent Company closed its doors and dissolved in February of 2009. They were still taking and delivering orders during their 2008 Holiday season but none of that information transferred to the new company. The My Twinn name was purchased again in March 2009 and it is with this company that we are currently associated. My Twinn is now based in Chatham, VA and none of the assets nor customer information came to the new company from any of the previous companies. Although we are unable to review the information that Olga has presented, we can assure all customers that checks nor money orders were (nor are they now) taken by My Twinn. When Olga placed her order through the mail she would have filled out a form that stated no Checks nor Money orders will be accepted. It could be that since she mailed a check, they either sent it back or shredded it if they were unable to get in contact with her. If there wasn't a self addressed return envelope then all the information supplied was shredded for her safety (a similar practice that we follow here). Since the company stopped taking orders in January 2009 and stopped taking phone calls February 1 of 2009 that could be why she was not able to contact anyone.
We would love to assist Olga in being able to get a My Twinn Doll for her daughter. Although we cannot reverse what happened we will do what we can to make her experience with the new My Twinn Company something that she can feel good about. We are available to take calls Monday - Friday from 8:00am until 4:30pm eastern time. We can also be contacted through our Contact Us section of our website which generates an email to us. We will respond within one business day to any questions/concerns Olga or anyone may have.
