I placed my order placed 11/1/04, it was confirmed 11/2/04. After back & forth emails regarding product details (custom shoes - sizing info, etc), delivery was promised in 5 weeks. Sent three emails regarding status of order bewtween December 2004 and January 2005. Sent nasty email in February 2005. Received email in March 2005 from Lorian's claiming that they were no longer making custom shoes and I must have "slipped through the cracks".

March 2005 - received following email from new owner of company: "Dear Julie - I purchased the business from Lorian Weston on 3/1/05. Since the purchase I have received numerous e-mails from customers like you. They purchased and paid for shoes or boots, never received them, e-mailed Lorian many times, some received messages that she would send a refund and never did. I have been advising cheated customers to file an internet fraud complaint with the FBI."

I have filed a complaint with the FBI, and since received a new email dated 7/14/05 from "Lorian" at "My Vintage Sole": "MyVintageSole forwarded your email to me yesterday, but had not provided me with your email address at that time. Please forgive our delay in correspondence and refund; we lost our data and have had to rely on former customers contacting the new owner, who did not wish to put our contact info on her site to allow direct contact, nor apparently notify people of our loss. If you could, please send me the PayPal transaction number or at least the date so that I may reference your previous sale; I have no way to know who purchased what at this time. Thank you - we will be happy to get this moving for you as quickly as possible."

I sent the requested information, but still have not received my refund.

I am not a rip off artist.  Most of the designs I have I purchased from the previous owner as well as pricing.  All of my shoes are individually handmade and not mass produced. 

How dare you of accusing me of anything - do you own your own business - do you work daily with customers.

How can you be so critical and hurtful and so bold to accuse me of anything and then not be open about yourself and have your full name listed.

I have absolutely nothing to hide and if you choose not to buy my shoes - that's your choice - I do not intrude on anyone else.

I answer to Jesus everyday - please do me a favor and talk to Him about your complaints against me.  I'm assuming you don't know Him personally as a best friend and counselor.  Get a life and take a good look in the mirror before throwing stones at someone else.

Whoever you are; all you had to do was send me and e-mail and I would have responded.  We have changed our phone number to an unlisted, private number due to the many telemarketing calls we receive.  If you're going to make a complaint - at least be open and include your full name.  I have no idea who you are or what company you represent.

Julie - please e-mail me your full name and the order you had placed and I will take care of it.  I had no idea that Lorian did not follow through with her promise.

With the exception of buying her business for the agreed amount of $6000, I am not, in any way associated with her business practices.  I do not want my personal name or business name tainted by her name or her former business name.

I have many testimonials by my current customers and no complaints filed against my new company.

I am a Christian and since Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior - it is impossible for me to deceive or hurt any one.   If I've made a mistake in my business or a customer is unhappy I've done my very best to remedy the situation.

The FBI or Internet Fraud Divison has never contacted me and the Cease and Desist order she sent me was not drawn up by an attorney, but by Lorian in hopes of intimidating me to stop referring cheated customers from filing complaints against her.  I also have never been contacted by a lawyer hired by Lorian to sue me - this is because everything she has said against me is a lie and she has no proof to back up any claims she has against me.  The only evidence she could provide a lawyer with are the orders she took, kept the money and never provided her customers with their purchases.

To any one that reads this message - I am in no way associated with Lorian or her reputation of stealing money from customers and attempting to get away with it. 

If I had any person dissatisfied with my business there would be complaints against me by customers - not by Lorian herself and my business would not still be thriving since the purchase in 2005.  Joanie

Joan Nygaard is a ripoff. She claims she returns footwear that doesn't fit and that is a bald-faced lie; she will say it's your fault if you didn't give her the right size.

Do not buy from her; you can't try shoes on, and anyone who refuses to allow returns of internet shoes is only after the money.

In addition, most of her shoes are common dance shoes available at any dance shoe online store; go see for yourself; except that she doubles the prices. Below are two photos; the shoes are identical (and made by the same company) but Nygaard adds a button, chooses a different heel and ups the price from $85 to $200. (!!!)

In addition, she has since (since my complaint) deleted all her contact info on her website. Now there is no physical address or phone number for her business, only an email. Be smart, people - avoid any internet business that can't give you a physical address and real phone number!!

In researching Ms. Nygaard for a matter with our company, this phone number she has listed on this report is registered to a Mark Herrman who has never heard of her. Also, her website phone number is listed in the WHOIS database. We called there trying to get ahold of her and she left there 3 years ago. Just in case you are trying to get ahold of her.

I purchased "Lorian's Vintage Style" mid 2005. I changed the name to My Vintage Sole "a step back in time". After I purchased the business I started receiving e-mails from Lorian's customers because they had paid for the making of their shoes, but had not received them. I forwarded most e-mails to Lorian and she said she would take care of it - she never did. When these customers and others contacted me about not receiving their shoes, when I was able I had their shoes made, but could not afford to do that for many customers. I then started referring them to the FBI Internet Fraud Unit and they sent all complaints to the police department in the area where Lorian lived. I believe they either called her or went to her apartment/house to inform her that she was being charged with Internet fraud and to pay back these people. I was also a victim of her because I purchased a pair of boots from her and never received them - she kept making up all kinds of excuses to me and I believed her. When I bought the business, still had not received my boots and customers started complaining I looked into how to file a complaint - that is how I found out about the FBI Internet Fraud Unit and referred cheated customers to them and they did receive refunds. Julie needs to inform the FBI Fraud Unit that she has not received a refund from Lorian. Lorian also failed to pay debts she incurred through the shoemaker she used and I now use. They are very angry. She also failed to pay a very sweet older woman (her and her husband were in their 80's) - her business was named Tootsies (she sold shoe/boots). She was very hurt that Lorian had betrayed her like that. Lorian is an excellent liar. This is not the 1st complaint made against me - another one was made by Lorian's daughter - she obviously does not know what her mother really has done. I feel as if I should have been informed of this complaint - a potential customer informed me of it; otherwise I would not have known how to vindicate myself; which I feel is very unfair. Please print this immediately as my rebuttal. I have never and never would cheat anyone. When a customer's order doesn't fit as they want - I replace the order; at my expense. I treat my customers the way I expect to be treated when purchasing anything. A lot of my customers have become my friends and have referred many of their friends to me; which I truly appreciate.
