myperfectcredit.com And First Credit Of America, Ripoff a collection agency to call us re: $59.95 bill for services for which we did not authorize. First Credit Of America, Chicago, Illinois
Since July 21, 2005, we have been phoned at least six times by employees of First Credit of America, who were attempting to collect $59.95 from us on behalf of MyPerfectCredit.com. As "proof", they quoted the last four digits of my social security number! There is no way I would EVER give anyone my social security number on the internet, so this must have been obtained illegally from some other source.
They claimed that My Perfect Credit had billed us twice since then. We have received no services from this company and have never received a bill. They said that we had arranged with the company for them "to straighten out our credit and improve our score." Last year we secured a home equity loan from our bank and paid off our mortgage. Our interest rate was below Prime! They volunteered that my FICO score was abmove 750. Why would I ask this company to perform a service for which we had no need?
We have filed a report with Better Business Bureau and Elder Abuse.
