I was interrested in an apartment located at (((REDACTED))), FL. I was referred to (((REDACTED))) for information and showing. I called their direct number and spoke to a woman named (((REDACTED))), she says that she is the owner. (((REDACTED))) told me that yes she can show and rent that apartment after rambling on for a while. I guess she was trying to impress me that she knew alot about Real Estate, but sounded like a scatter brain to me, talked way too much.
We set a time to meet at the apartment which she claimed that she lived close to, I explained to her that my boyfriend was helping me with the inception costs so I needed to have him come along.
(((REDACTED))) was not easy to set an appointment with after she told me she lived very close to that apartment.
Well we finally got an apointment set, myself and my boyfriend arrived 10 min early, (((REDACTED))) was over an hour late then had problems finding the right key as she was talking in Russian on her phone, very anoying.
(((REDACTED))) showed up very late and was dressed like she was going to a nightclub, a very short and very sheer tight dress, with obviously no underwear on. My boyfriend and I were quite suprised that a Realtor would dreess like that, she was quite the chatterbox with a hint of alcohol on her breath, this was 2PM. (((REDACTED))) kept speaking to my boyfriend and not really answering my questions, even after my boyfriend asked her nicely to speak with me and not him. (((REDACTED))) acted so unprofessional.
Although (((REDACTED))) was a nightmare to deal with and dressed like a hooker I liked the apartment. I explained to (((REDACTED))) that I wanted the apartment and was ready to submit an application which I had already prepared. I told her that I wanted to see a copy of the lease and condo association rules. Again she kept speaking to my boyfriend and bending over exposing her private parts, my boyfriend asked her to please speak with me and please get me what I needed because he needed to be somewhere.
Finally she said we could go to the office of the association and get copies of both the lease and condo rules. When I was at the association office where everyone was dressed properly and sober I asked if I could deal with someone other then (((REDACTED))), they told me that she had some sort of exclusive, so I was stuck dealing with the nut job.
The next morning I received a call from (((REDACTED))) telling me that I had been approved, I told her that I definitly wanted the apartment. She told me to meet her at the apartment in 2 hours with a check made out to (((REDACTED))) for $5,295.00 and she would have the lease and condo papers. She was again late, talking on the phone, dressed like a hooker.
I signed all the papers and gave her the check from my boyfriend made out to (((REDACTED))). I asked her how soon could I get the keys and move in, she told me as soon as the check cleared.
I started calling her the next day after asking her to try and expedite the check because we both used Bank of America so I believed it would clear the first day.(((REDACTED))) disagreed about the check and told me to be patient.
I called her 4 times a day after that only getting her vmail and no return call.
Finally after 3 days she took my call, I asked did the check clear, because I could see in my account it cleared the same day as I gave it to her. Then (((REDACTED))) told me over the phone that someone else had alreeady rented the apartment for a higher price. I was so mad I wanted to scream. After conversation that I felt I was cheated I demanded my $5,295.00 be returned. (((REDACTED))) tried to explain to me that because it did not come from my, the renter's account that it would take time to receive a refund.
Well it's been more then 3 weeks and no refund and (((REDACTED))) won't take mine or my boyfriends calls, we had a friend call from his number and (((REDACTED))) told him she had no time to speak to him.
Never before have ever met such a crazy person in anytype of Real Estate transaction, now it seems that I have to spend money with a Lawyer to try and get back the money she has stolen. It was like I was dealing with a drunken hooker.
Buyer Beware of this Fraudster, I plan on reporting her to the Real Estate commission
