National Credit Solutions, Collection Agency, RIP-OFF - BREAKING THE LAW & VERY RUDE

I received a notice from a company who monitors my credit report recently and noticed that a derogatory account was added to my credit report for something I did not authorize authorize or give my approval on. I found out it was an account with Columbia House stating I owed $54 and they said in 2007 I signed up for free DVD movies. However, they reported this to the 3 credit bureaus this account became delinquent in 2008 when it was closed.

Im pretty sure there is some violation of the law because I was never contacted by Columbia House or National Credit Solutions to tell me I had any type of debt, but they felt it necessary to add this information to my CREDIT REPORT as delinquent not paid! We all know these days when something is added to a credit report it takes an act of congress to fix it or have it removed. Common sense should tell this company or a business not to inflict damages on someone's credit until they have made contact with the consumer and verified the debt.

100% of all corporations and credit card companies today will put your account in delinquent status if you do not pay after 30 days, and close the account after 90 days.

When I called National Credit Solutions and spoke to a lady this evening about this account, I was being very professional and nicely asked her to show me proof the account is mine, and that I was disputing the $54 amount and wanted to know why I was not contacted by their company to allow me to dispute this matter before they added it to my CREDIT REPORT.

When began discussing this information the lady that I was speaking to would start talking over me and not allow me to finish talking, and then she started yelling at me. I asked to speak with a supervisor and the lady told me there was one available, but I would be on hold for a long time before I was able to speak with one.

The supervisor finally came on the line in what the lady said would be approximately 15 minutes, is this because there are so many complaint against their company. I explained the circumstances regarding this account and the she told me the process of how their procedures worked. I asked her why I was never contacted by their company and she said they were not required by law to send a letter or notify a consumer they were adding a delinquent account to a credit report. I advised her type of business practice was unacceptable and they should have notified me before the account was added to my credit report. She said they would be mailing me out a dispute letter and I would have 30 days to notify their company. I asked her if she would mail this to my current mailing address and when I started to give her the information she finished telling me the rest of my address. This clearly shows this company had my current mailing address and never attempted to contact me regarding this matter.

I have never made a payment, and have never once received any letter, phone call, email, or communication with this company because if I did, I would have paid the bill, if I did owed it.

THIS COMPANY IS CLEARLY IN VIOLATION OF FTC LAWS. IT IS FLAT OUT ILLEGAL AND AGAINST THE LAW.

National Credit Solutions HAS CLEARLY violated the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act by reporting false, deceptive and misleading information about the plaintiff to the three national credit reporting agencies.

I AM TAKING THE FOLLOWING ACTION IMMEDIATELY:

1. Filing a ripoff report here so everyone will know about this company.
2. Filing a report with the BBB in their local area
3. Filing an FTC complaint
4. Filing a report with the Attorney Generals Office

5. Contacting an Attorney

BEWARE! Always check your credit reports. You can go to and you can check your reports online every day, each month and see what is going on. The collection agencies do this because they know they can get away with it, and they can re-age old accounts whenever they feel like it, because they are getting away with it.

But they are not getting away with this with me either!

National Credit Systems seems to love to play these kind of games. I am having a similar problem with this same company. I was turned into the national credit bureau by them without my knowledge. I have disputed it on my credit report, and filed a complaint with the BBB and the FTC. I have been at it for months now and I am now getting ready to play some hardball with these folks. They refuse to respond to my request for validation that I have requested twice now, and they continue to verify  invalid  false information to the national credit bureau. Good Luck with trying to fight them yourself. I would suggest taking all the proper steps as I have mentioned..(requesting validation etc.) and seeking legal counsel. If you go to justiadockets.com, you will see all the lawsuits they have had filed on them for the same type of these issues.
