National Gas Phone scam Shoppers Express Hacker Person posing as emplyee, has you verify information, runs debit or credit card up, using another company's phone number. unknown, Georgia
On May 10, 2012 I made one purchase to Shoppers Express Magazine over the phone with my debit card. On May 12, 2012 I checked my e-mail got my bank statement, there was their with drawl and another one for the same day, but from National Fuel.
I called National Fuel and asked them how they got my account number. Well they knew nothing about this at all told me to go to my bank. I did found out it was a debit transaction. There was only one company that I did a debit transaction with on that day.
A female person claiming to be a supervisor, which Shoppers Express Magazine don't have, verified my information and using National Gas phone number sold money from my my bank account visa the debit card, that she got by listen in on my call from Shoppers Express Magazine.
Moral of this don't use cordless phones or any phones to make purchases, have a separate account form your main checking for all non monthly bills. Protect and Protect and then Protect your Protect.
