National Grants Supposed $7000 grant due to random pulling of my information Winter Park Florida
I received a call which was obviously from out of country to my cell phone. The foreigner stated my information such as my name and home address and that my information was pulled from being a tax payer and I was granted $7000. I questioned where my information came from, where he was calling from and so forth.. He stated the "IRS" gave them information to contact me and in order for me to claim such grant, I must give some additional information to confirm my identity. He asked for my DOB. I told him I will not give any additional information and he needed to allow me to call back and give me his address.
After going around around, he gave me his address and asked that he call me tomorrow. Oddly enough, this all takes place after I write a check to a kiosk in a local mall where I wrote my cell number above my address on the check as it was requested. (I typically do not use my cell number). I just have a feeling this is connected and will be researching further.
