Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We also bought the reasonable auction tips package from Auctions 4 Income and were contacted by Nate, Augie, Megan, Eric, among other folks at NMR (Nat'l Marketing Resources). The phone number they were using, at the time checked out clean with the BBB, it no longer does. DO NOT go to the BBB for validation of a company's worth. Too many loopholes for crooks to take advantage of. The pitch is a good one, but you will receive nothing but a knot in your stomach. After talking with them for a few days and "thoroughly" checking them out, we signed up. In the next week spam to our e-mail box more than tripled. All correspondence we received was from different addresses all over Utah. The software we received didn't check out well at CNET (thank GOD we didn't even open it). I got suspicious... when we spoke with our "coach" who was supposed to be able to assist us with obtaining business credentials and establishing incorporation, etc. She was clueless. I immediately called and demanded a refund. I was treated like dirt, so I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. We even got harassing calls for awhile, until we contacted the phone company and got tracing and call block, (which are very reasonably priced). I then began digging for all the dirt I could find, and submitted it to the credit card company. Whenever they sent questionaires I sent back answers and search findings. I also noted the date we signed up vs. the date we were charged on our bill were different. The date we were charged on our bill was the day we got the domain name. Look at your credit card statement, determine if these dates and claims are correct. The company that claimed the charge was NOT the same company we signed up with. Found out these people do NOT have a license to telemarket. And provided dates of what happenened: Initial contact by them / signing up / faxing documents for domain hosting / requesting refund / etc. PINPOINT these dates and organize a claim you can submit to all relevant authorities. Keep it short, factual, and without personal comment. Have notes in the report of all authorities that it is being submitted to. Submit these things to: The FCC / FBI Dept. of Internet Fraud - www.ifccfbi.gov Your creditors if applicable The BBB - www.bbb.org Utah (or relevant state) Dept. of Consumer Affairs - www.commerce.utah.gov It is also a good idea to educate your community. One big reason these scams keep operating is that victims are embarrassed to speak up and say they were scammed. Call your local news team. Give them the information and let them investigate. Don't be embarrassed to interview or speak publicly about it. And remember, they are just going to switch names and phone numbers and continue to scam. DO NOT sign up for these things. If you want auction help, eBay has an incredible training program that is FREE. Check into it! If you want to start a small business, contact local state IRS / tax commission and get info on obtaining a TAX ID. Then you build relationships with reputable manufacturers of products you know and trust. Then speak with an authority about incorporation, and protecting your personal assets. The representative from the tax commission can put you on the right path here. I hope this helps. I hope you get your money back. We are college educated, reasonably intelligent people, and it happened to us. We got back $7,500... so don't be too sick about it - just gather your facts, and submit them to every agency that can help. Be willing to help stop this from happening to others. GOOD LUCK!
