National Value Network SCAM - Keep credit cards on file and charge you without telling you! Ripoff Nationwide
I recently bought a list of foreclosures from NATIONAL VALUE NETWORK. I saw their ad in a 'penny saver' magazine.
I called the number in the 'penny saver' magazine and I purchased the on-line list for approx. $10.
I was now allowed to view a list on NATIONAL VALUE NETWORK.COM but didnt have time to do so at that moment.
3 Days later, a telemarketer calls me to ask if i managed to go online and see my list yet.
I said 'no'
He then said: "make sure you go online tomorrow because we will be posting a 'guide to buying foreclosures!"
I said 'alright, thanks for the call'
A week later, I see a charge of approx.$40 on my bank statement from NATIONAL VALUE NETWORK -
When I called, the receptionist says that I someone called me a that I AGREED to purchase the 'guide to buying foreclosures'
When I told her that was not the case she quickly says: Ok no problem, we'll refund you in two weeks.
Never did she ask who the telemarketer was, never did she even doubt that the telemarketer simply charged my card without my approval.
She knew what had happened, and was used to having people call asking what these extra charges were, and she knew exactly what to say to me.
The thing is, its been two weeks...
I still dont have my money!
As for the list - I have called a dozen places already to see about purchasing some of the properties and not one of the leads that NATIONAL VALUE NETWORK gave me is good.
Lastly, ever since I bought the list from NATIONAL VALUE NETWORK I have been receiving an average of 2 PHONE CALLS A DAY from TELEMARKETERS!!
They obviously sold my phone number...
So I paid them $10 for FAKE list of foreclosures
Then, they SCAMMED me out of $40 that they promised to return but I have not yet seen.
AND Im probably going to have to pay to get my phone number changed because NATIONAL VALUE NETWORK sold my phone number.
