Nationwide Consulting Services College bound student RIPPED OFF of $299 and promised minimum of $5000 or money-back! ripoff Internet
I have gone to a few different scholarship and grant sites seeking financial assistance for college, and a few days after submitting what I thought were legit registrations, I was contacted by Christine Evans from Nationwide Consulting Services stating that I would be able to receive a minimum of $5000 in grant money for a grant writing fee of $299 up front.
I was told that once the money was received (they debited from my bank account), I would receive an application packet in the mail within 20-30 days to fill out. I was even given a "recording confrimation #, of which I am not sure what to even do with in a case like this scam. And, like many others scammed by this business, I have yet yo receive any further information via either mail OR phone.
My initial conversation with Christine Evans was on 6/18/07, and it is now 8/13/07, nearly 2 months later, and no application, no phone calls, and no grant money. I have left several voicemails for Christine Evans at the 888-342-7772 phone number, and I realized that I was being scammed when I called the number once and a person answered as a hotel representative.
When I tentatively asked to speak with Christine Evans, the man, hesitantly told me that she was not in but I could either call back at another time (her "hours") or leave a message.
Please help me figure out how to get my $299 back, as I am on a very strict budget, and can now not afford part of my rent due to this removal of funds. If I had the money in the first place, why would I be attempting to get grants?
Please help me and those others who have been scammed by these low-lifes, and make sure they never do this again to anyone else.
