May 2008 I purchased in full, not financed with all my savings and disability a 2009 Forest River,Salem travel trailer @ approx. $30,000.00. The same day I was offered a 7- year Extended Warranty from othrough David, the owner Blue Border RV Sales Company's carrier at that time. I purchased Full Coverage for the trailer from Nationwide Insurance. The trailers are manufacturer of the trailer, Forest River is located in Indiana.

I live in Jacksonville,NC and we were in line of Hurricane when it hit the east coast. During the hurricane rain water started pouring in around the windows on the 22' slideout of the trailer and was running in between the walls under the windows on the 22' slideout. I called both insurance carriers and called the new owner of what use to be Blue Border but the new name Carteret RV and new owner Joey Prescott. He sent a contractor out to take photos and to do a written estimate of the damage done to my trailer during the hurricane.

I kept the trailer in great shape and there was nothing done to the slideoit, trailer windows or seals, trailer roof or trailer floors that would be the cause of the rain pouring in around the windows and between the walls under the windows.

I feel both insurance companies should be responsible. I could not afford to hire a attorney to pursue a case against them. I don't care if they get the manufacturer to pay for the damages. I have had repairs done however I was in the trailer for a couple months with mold everywhere waiting for it to get repaired. Its rediculous for them to claim all damage was due to "wind driven rain" that was without a doubt, a part of th hurricane, Hurricane Irene!
