My high school daughter tried out for 2012 NE Force club in which she was placed on the highest level team - Black, which including herself, consisted of four juniors and seven soon to be high school senior and of those, four girls all went to Lincoln Northeast.  During the meeting after it was annouced she made the team, we were told that aside from Jim Hamsa, Charity Iromuanya, a 2010 Lincoln Northeast graduate, would also be coaching.  Needless to say that did not happen - we never saw her.

We were also told that each team - Black, Red and White would consist of 9 to 10 players per team, but there was 11 on the black and red teams.

"The cost of our summer program is $700.  This cost includes tournament fees, gym rental and the use of Force uniforms (at least three years old).  This cost does not include travel (transportation and hotels).  A fundraiser is available (was not current for Omaha people).  Coaches and all volunteers (Miss Jen and some other guy - I think from Lincoln High) and your money will go directly to the players expense.

Practices were held in Lincoln, NE twice a week and because of high school track, she didn't attend every practice til school was out.  In all, we made a minimum of 20 trips to Lincoln for practice.

The first tournament was June 1 - June 3 here in Omaha.  My daughter was told on May 31st, the day before the first tournament that she would be playing on both teams because the Red team was short one play (they have 11 on the team).   So here we go:  Friday, June 1st, she played less than two minutes with the Red team and less than 5 with the Black team.  On Saturday, she played less than 10 with Red and out of two games with the black team, played less than 10 minutes.  She's been playing ball since 2nd grade and told me Saturday that she was not a bench warmer and she wanted to finish out the tourney.  On Sunday, she played very well with the Red Team and Miss Jen told her that Jim wanted to talk to her outside - she actually said that Jim has a hard time trusting the players....wow, why was she there.  Anyway, he wanted her to come to the other site after this game and play on the Black team who didn't do well in this tourney.  She went into the game with five minutes left before the half and didn't get back in.  They lost.

After the game, she gave me a nod to talk to Jim....at this point, Jim hasn't said anything to us about anything.  She told him she wasn't happy and he said he had plans for her in the future....too late.  I asked him for a refund and he said he would have to talk to the board.

There have been many emails and Jim said he agrees that we deserve a refund and it would come out of his own pocket but that has not occurred.

When I first approached, it was with Tony Sanchez, who is no longer a part of the organizations.

Warning to other Parents, the web says "basketball doesn't build character, it reveals it!"  Force actually tore my daughers confidence down.
