Rather than typing everything once more, here is the letter I sent to Brian Kelly, manager at Neighbors Moving & Storage in Pompano Beach.

Brian,

To summarize, I have been insulted by your company in these instances:

a) having been repetitively harassed for a cash tip, with one mover suggesting I go to my nearest ATM machine while he "watches my 14-month-old baby for me" as the other one, before even BEGINNING the job, tells my husband "We prefer to be paid by cash rather than credit card. We'll take care of you if you take care of us, know what I mean?" The first mover later harassed me again mid-move saying, "Where is your husband? He is supposed to be taking care of us" implying about the tip, while taking my furniture up the stairs. I did not say one word to these men, other than suggesting that I can send them a personal check if they give me their mailing address. The second mover began writing his address on paper I provided to him, but then crumpled it up, suspiciously saying "I forgot my zip code," and left it from there.

b) my stairs have been damaged during the moving process. I have proof of this, which I showed Jessika (customer service at NM&S) on my Phone yesterday during my personal visit with her.

c) my king-sized mattress is still downstairs after the movers found it "too difficult" to bring up the stairs (this, after finding out they won't be getting a cash tip from me). Again, I have proof of this, as I showed Jessika the picture from my phone. After speaking face-to-face with Jessika in your office, she assured me that movers will come to complete the job this morning, Feb. 5th at 8am. Nobody showed up or called, and I called your office at 9am to be further insulted by Brian Kelly as he hastily told me no one will be coming to my house and then RUDELY HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME! For the money that I paid, the job has so far not been completed.

d) My engagement ring is missing and I have a grave feeling it has been stolen. It is just too obvious that my wedding band is in place but my engagement ring is no where to be found. This is the only item in the house that is missing and has been reported to the police. I unfortunately believe that one of your movers stole my ring in compensation for the "cash tip" they did not receive by me. Until my ring is found or given back to me, this accusation is not confirmed, but this is what I strongly believe.

e) After this entire headache and fiasco, not to forget my physical and emotional stress for having something near and dear taken away from me, and with the job taking more than one week to complete, Brian Kelly refuses to refund me my $400 that I paid for this awful, awful, awful service. The movers harassed me about their tip, used foul language, were very unpleasant in my home, damaged my wood floor, and possibly swiped my engagement ring and the manager refuses to cooperate with me in a respectful manner. No customer no where should be treated the way I have been.

In conclusion, Neighbors Moving & Storage is not to be trusted. My life and my marriage has been shattered to pieces in the past few days and your company is doing nothing other than humiliating and insulting me even further. As I mentioned to Brian over the phone, I do not wish to have further problems and want to resolve this matter peacefully between us and should my engagement ring be found or given back to me, I will drop the charges I have against your company immediately.

So far, you have done nothing to compensate me personally and further insult me by not giving me a courtesy call to tell me that your movers will not be completing their job this morning by taking my mattress upstairs. To add further insult to injury, when I call you to complain, you - manager Brian Kelly - hang up the phone on me. I have done NOTHING WRONG to you, your movers, or your company, other than protect myself from what I believe is a possible theft.

Despite the circumstances, I have been understanding and kind, I have treated you, Jessika, Sandra, your movers, and everyone else I have spoken to with the utmost respect and in return you give me this. I again repeat, I want to resolve these matters peacefully with you without involving third or fourth parties, but if we cannot come to an agreement of sorts, you will force me to not only report you to the Broward County Consumer Protection Agency and Better Business Bureau (which apparently many of your customers have already done) but I will be contacting the local television stations and Sun-Sentinel newspaper to protect this community from being poorly mistreated by your company. Trust me when I say I would rather repair my marriage with my devastated husband and take care of our baby in our new home, then to go through all this. Let us all please make the right choice in this.

Personal note: STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!! LOOK WHAT I AM GOING THRU! DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!!

Their is such a pattern of criminal activity going on with this company it is time for the state to step in. How they can continue to operate in this manner without getting shut down is amazing. It is time for any and all customers who have experienced these mobster type antics by this company to make sure the BBB knows about it as well as all the media and the State of Florida Consumer Affairs. Anyone needing to move needs to avoid this company at all costs. Just about any other company has to be better! This company currently has 58 complaints against it with the BBB and an "F" rating for conducting business. This complaint also makes twenty just on this site alone! ************BEWARE********BEWARE********BEWARE***************
