OK, so you're saying that it is ok for a dealer to committ fraud to induce the loan, and its ok to not have a copy of the contract, even though it was promised by telephone, and its ok to sue past the statute of limitations, and its ok to leave a family of four with nothing to live on or feed kids with? I don't think any of that is ok. I will be 30 this upcoming sunday, this transaction occured at 18. Do the math 12 years ago.

No disrespect intended, but you borrowed the money to buy a car and didn't pay it back. They sued you. You either ignored the lawsuit and had a default judgment entered against you or you fought the lawsuit and lost. Either way, you owe the money. The only person ripped off is whoever lent you the money in the first place.

These people had the nerve to tell the court that I worked for a local bank in Denison. Ha ha, very funny as I have not, nor have ever been any kind of bank employee, much less never applied for employment there. They actually told the court that the Bank's telephone number is my work number. How funny is that? I am, and have been for the better part of the last 8 years a stay at home mom. Sure I had a checking account with that bank, but does that make me an employee? I think not. Pure fraud. NOthing is signed by a judge. The attorney for the plaintiff by the name of Credit Acceptance Corporation out of Southfield, MI signed all paperwork. All I really want from these people is credit towards the debt for what the car sold for at auction and a copy of the contract. Is that so darn much to ask for? I don't think so. Apparently, these people think it is really hard and tiresome to use a copy machine. I was promised a copy of the contract waaaaay back in August of 2003. If any of the people that this refers to are reading this report. I am Still waiting on that contract. I will not give up until a copy of that contract is in my hands.

Suit filed in Feb. 2003 even though SOL was out, still refuse to send me copy of contract to verify that SOL was indeed out before suit filed, to follow up with disputes to credit bureaus. July is the first contact made for arrangements. God, how I hate writing checks to these people! The only reason I do is under duress because their favorite tactic is to threaten to take every dime we have in our joint bank account. They know perfectly well that I am in college, in order to get a really great job after graduation. So the only money we live on is my spouse's wages, and infrequent disbursements of excess funds from Staffords, Pell grants and annual income tax refunds. They don't want just a set percentage set by law, they want the whole goddamn enchilada, leaving us with no funds to live on. These people need to wake up and realize that someday they may be in such a position where they may have to juggle bills every week and figure out ways to just get by. I have yet to read one good reason for their refusal to send me a copy of contract. Something must be rotten in this applecart for people to act so hateful. All I want from these people is credit for the auto that was sold and the amount credited against the debt.
