I purchased a prepaid Visa through Netspend and have had this card for over 1 year. I load money to pay large bills and thats about it. I dont ever check online to see if my account still has money becuase I am a smart person and know what I spend daily. Long story short 6/6/09 I went to pay my car payment and my debit request was denied. I went online to see that someone 600 miles from where I live has used my card and charged over $2700.00 from my Netspend account. This was discovered at 10:00pm. Netspend CS department was closed. I sent them an email and called first thing in the morning. I reported the account stolen-used frauduenlty. The rep which barely knew what he was doing advised me to simply print out their dispute form fill it out and fax it. I did just that. I asked them to shut that account down as well. I faxed all the papers to find out the fax number on the form was not correct so again I fax all the paperwork to the correct #. I am clearly a victim of whatever is going on and they know it. I waited the time period of 10 days, called Net Spend and the repsonse was that I lost the dispute and there is nothing they can do for me. I am a mother of 2 and the 2700.00 was ALL OF MY MONEY. I trusted Netspend and I feel defrauded not only by the criminal but Netspend for not helping me as their paid customer. I need help Please. I have the police report several emails, tons of calls. I am left with no money.Please help
