Anytime a company deals with millions of customers, and has hundreds of customer service reps, they are going to get some bad apples. I got unlucky and dealt with a person who jacked me around. Net10/Tracfone has since done a very good job of getting my number back and following up. Since being with them, I've lost/damaged 4 phones and they've always been right on the ball with transferring my number and minutes (except for this one time which their guy really screwed up and they corrected). In reading most of the complaints on this site against them, most of the customers seem to be complaining that they lost minutes. Most of them are complaining about a loss of less than $20. C'mon people. Each month with Verizon I lost more than that in minutes that didn't roll over. And all the surcharges. For 15 years, the large cell phone companies have been ripping off people for hundreds and hundreds of dollars a year. Are you forgetting that, until there was competition, they were charging .50 cents a minute, PLUS $1.50 per minute if you went over your minutes, PLUS a 2 year contract?!? Basically the large wireless companies were built by abusing and defrauding their customers. I can't tell you how many times I got a $400 phone bill which they refused to negotiate. All in all, you should be happy there are companies like net10/tracfone (tracphone) that give these jerks some competition and only charge you for what you use.
