New Age had an ad on Internet offering free anti wrinkle cream, just pay 5.95 for shipping and handling. After entering all of your credit card info it wouldn't let you proceed unless you agreed to try the "serum" too. So after you accept that it tells you that now it will charge another 6.95 shipping and handling. OK, didn't like that but sucked it up. Received the product just now in the mail. Noticed on the packing slip it says "to cancel this trial please call customer service within the 14 day trial period. So I call and speak to Marcel. Sounds totally uneducated and says that I will be charged for the products in 30 days. I said that I didn't want the free trial if it's not free. He offered to give me a "special price of $29.95 and when I confirmed that I was not interested, he offered 19.95! I said how do I send it back and he said pay another 13.95 to ship it back. I said, "don't I need a return authorization?" He said "yup" and then said he could give me the product for $ 9.95 and that is cheaper than sending it back and to just give him the code on the back of my credit card. He already has my credit card number and read it to me. I told him to put that in writing and he said "forget it, you're being too difficult" and retracted his final offer. There was never any mention that there would be a charge for product after 30 days. I don't consider myself to be naive or clueless about this type of offer but the online offer I saw was carefully worded to deceive and make sure you thought there was no strings attached. Stupid me. Don't fall for the same scam I did.
