NewSub Magazine Services ripoff fraudulent billing Stamford Connecticut
I was checking out at the local Strawberries/FYE store and was offered up to three free magazines for a trial period. I thought "What the hell?! Free magazines, OK!" So I signed up for Time and Entertainment Weekly. Shortly after I started receiving them. Before the trial was up I went online to Time and EW and tried to cancel them there. The website said that I had to contact Newsub and gave that d**n phone number that leads to an automated system. I checked my credit card statement today and found out I had been charged almost $50 for those two magazines. I was never sent a letter saying the trial was about to run out. So I called today and got the automated crap and was not able to talk to a representive. I was hung up on or told the business hours and to try back then. I'm tired of this *&*&*. Reading other peoples complaints I see I'm not the only one. This *&*& needs to stop.
