I have also become a victim of the rampant hackings going on in Vindictus, and I have also spent money on this game. However, none of the NX items that I spent my real money on were tradable or sellable so I luckily did not lose any of those items. However, I did lose all of my ingame money and items, which had taken a lot of hard work to collect. However, due to the high amount of people currently being hacked right now, I would not expect them to reach my ticket anytime soon. Yet they also seem to be doing nothing at all to stop or prevent these hackers from continuing to rampantly hack accounts and steal everything.
I think it unfair to expect Nexon to reach your ticket in a timely fashion, especially when so many have been hacked that has been claimed. Each ticket needs to be gone through individually, and every case investigated, or else people might claim to have things they didn't have.
However, I am disappointed to find that it seems that Nexon has done nothing whatsoever to stop this. The hackings continue to go on, and people are still being hacked by the same accounts.. which means that none have yet been banned. However, I am willing for now to give Nexon the benefit of the doubt, so long as in the end they FIX this properly, and satisfactorily restore our accounts to their former glory.
I think that Nexon should not yet deal with the hackers (such as banning accounts) until first the security issue with the website has been fixed. Otherwise, even if they ban the accounts, the hackers will only continue to make more accounts and continue hacking, which then it might even make it more difficult to track them. That they are using the same accounts for all of their hacking seems like it would make it extremely more easy to track all of it. However, I think they should also implement at least a temporary extra security measure, such as extending the amount of time you cannot access your mailbox after being logged into from another account to at least 24 hours, or else quickly implement a permanent security measure such as a pin system like the one they have in Maplestory.
Once the hackers are stopped, the amount of tickets being submitted should also stop, or at least slow down. Then they can concentrate on fixing the website's security issues, and once that is fixed, they can go about investigating each ticket and banning the hackers and restoring accounts. There is no use restoring an account before the security issues are fixed, or else even if the hacker is banned, they will just make a new account, exploit the security issue to regain the restored account's login information, and just re-hack and re-steal all those newly restored items.
