Complaint Review: Nicole Gallegos - Costa Mesa California

Nicole Gallegos, who is an attorney, and her husband Derek Jaeger, have blackmailed me and refuse to give me my check that I worked for. I am NOT the only employee she has done this to. She has turned in each employee that has left her firm to the Orange County Economics Crime Unit for, in most cases, no reason. She is a real estate attorney that does modifications, but takes up front fees illegally.
She does not know how to work on obtaining modifications, as I was her last processor to stick around, she is working on them when it is convenient to herself. She has given most of her files back to the previous firm she got fired from and the rest she is thinking of giving to another attorney that would definitely do a much better job than her considering he knows what he is doing and she does not, (lets hope that's what she does).
 In the midst of trying to obtain my check from her and having to wait a month with no pay and eating nothing but Top Ramen, I got into an argument with her when she told me it would be yet another week to get my check, and I told her about something I knew about her personal life out of anger. I shouldn't have said it because I didn't want to tell her something so hurtful about her personal life in that manner, especially considering we were friends, but in the heat of the conversation it came out.
Once that was said it was another 2 hours going back and forth with her about my check. We finally were civil and she agreed she would get me cash today...Then I received a call from her husband saying that I had to write both of them a formal apology for what I said in order to get my check and that he's not sure that I will get it even then but he has it and will not release it until I do the email and then hung up on me...THAT IS BLACKMAIL! EXTORTION!...But I did it so that I could have a chance of getting my check, but of course after it was sent they refused to speak with me and will not give me my last pay check.
Nicole had also said that it is a small world and she knows a lot of people and will make sure that I have a bad name in the real estate field and anywhere else if she has anything to do with it. There are numerous employees that she has done this kind of thing to and we are all banning together to make sure she cannot do this to people anymore, especially in this economy.
All I wanted was my check which was owed to me. This attorney has no ethics and deserves to be stripped of her state bar license. She not only screws over employees but also clients. As for Derek Jaeger, everyone knows that he is a nobody and thinks that he can intimidate people because he knows MMA fighters!!! But he is not one!!! No one deserves to be threatened over wanting their pay check and definitely not blackmailed due to his bad mistakes coming out on the table. I hope that karma catches up to the both of them and so does the law because they are the scummiest couple I have EVER met and there are many others who agree. I wish I would have listened to the previous law firm she got fired from when I worked there because they were right!
 I hope people read this and stay away from these scam artists whether it is business or personal.
