I agree that Nilecorp is a ripoff. Though my order was nowhere near the size of yours it was an order nonetheless. I placed my order the middle of the night Dec 12th, meaning it was hours before the opened for business the morning of Dec 12th. The money was immediately deduced from my debit card. By the shipping diagram on Nilecorps own webside my package should have shipped between that Thursday to the following Monday, the 16th, the latest. Only after I emailed them as to the status of my order did they ship it a full week after. The estimated delivery date being the 26th, the day after Christmas. if they had adhered to thier own shipping guidlines I should have received my order no later than this coming Monday the 23rd. Now it'll be too late for the gifts I have. Next time I'll stick with ebay rather than trying to save a couple bucks.

The shipping information given at checkout on nilecorp.com clearly states that there will be a charge, which is now $15.00, for any change of address after the order has been placed. FedEx does charge companies if they have to redeliver their packages to an address other than the one provided on the shipping label, so this isn't really a ripoff at all. I would suggest that you read the policies of any company you decide to purchase from online, especially if you haven't purchased from them in the past. Taking a few minutes to do this one simple thing could have avoided your dissatisfaction with this company.
My personal opinion is that their prices and shipping charges are more than reasonable so I wouldn't complain about an extra charge that was clearly my fault. I do think they could provide better product descriptions and larger photos to better illustrate the quality of the products they sell, but in my opinion, they are a trustworthy company to do business with.

I have been buying from Nile Corp for years, and I have only had the best experiences... 'No problems of any kind'. In fact I just came across this "rip-off" complaint as a result of 'going online to place another' order with Nile.
In reading about this $6.00 FedEx complaint, I can completely understand that it was appropriate to re-bill the tiny FedEx charge to the customer... who subsequenty 'changed her address'... (because she decided to instead have it 're-delivered' to her work since 'she missed the first delivery attempt' at her home).
What really strikes me about this report of her's, is the; UNREASONABLENESS and the PETTYNESS of 'her' issue. I only wish that more people 'ONLY' had these kinds of things in their lives to have to 'Complain about'!
Amazing!

I just had to rebutt the positive comment Louisville, Kentucky comment, maybe he is a Nilecorp owner. I foolishly ordered two times from Nilecorp and both times they screwed up. The merchandise was low quality and the orders were poorly packed. Their customer service failed to satisfy me both times and it cost me money. Plus their shipping and handling charges are ridiculous. I now look for companies with free shipping. I refuse to get ripped off again. Nilecorp sucks, stay away from them.

I've done business with Nile for years as a small business and not had the problem related nor any other problems and absolutely hate to hear that you've had such an outrageous problem. I am now alert to the problem you've had regarding shipping. I'm putting in an order today and will forward your problem to Nile.
