My primary care physician recommended I look up Paleo diet on internet. I thought this product, a bottle of cleansing pills and a bottle of "propriatary" supplement, was recommended as part of the Paleo diet. I must have missed the fine print where it said it was just an advertisement on the site. And I must have missed the fine print where "free" meant "we'll ship it to you and then charge you the full amount later AND sign you up for a continuing plan." I've talked with 2 different people at the company (which seems to have 3 names on my credit card -- one for initial shipping for the "free" part, one for the full charge, and one for the next shipment that is due to arrive, I think.) Yesterday, I was able to get my continuing subscription stopped. Today, I had a very hard time understanding due to very much background noise, but I think the woman told me when I get the next shipment (that has already been billed to my credit card) to call back with receipt in hand and she will reimburse the payment. I told her, though, that the arrival of the "free" bottles did not contain a receipt and asked if the next shipment would. She could not answer yes. So I'll wait a couple days and see what happens.
Also -- when I first started looking online as to who to call about this, the first google reply that came up was Nutrifit -- NOTE Nutri with an I -- and the woman who answered this phone immediately asked me was I trying to call Nutrifit with an I or Nutrafit with an A. Apparently, Nutrifit with an I is a legit business in CA -- and they gets lots of complaint calls from people looking for Nutrafit with an A, the ripoff company.
