I received a letter dated Aug 3/09 from the 2009 NORTH AMERICAN SWEEPSTAKES LOTTERY that they stated was held in the 2nd category. Whatever that means. The ticket serial number was also 034776582446 that was attached with the lucky winning number 2-9-12-26-38-44-45. I called a Mr. Phillip Adams at 905-781-3218 and he told me to deposit the cheque that was for $3950.00 USD in my bank and then call him back with further directions the next day to pay the $3550.00 USD which was to be sent to him. He then said a total winning of $125,000.00 is the grand winnings.
I then asked him if this is a scam, he said no and that I need to call him back. He did not want to talk very long or answer any further questions. I then ask him for his company number to check, he said the phone number was enough. I pursued further and ask for his business number to check. He then HUNG THE PHONE UP and would not answer again. YOU WERE CAUGHT BUDDY along with your crew. It's sad to know that people are so dishonest that scamming others is their way of life. I say, be aware people. I believe the hole these scammer dig for others, they will FALL in it themselves.
