On Febuary 19, 2005 I visited North Point Ford to obtain information regarding the purchase of a 2004 Ranger Edge vehicle. My sales consultant was Jerry McCoy. To begin, Mr McCoy was rude and refused to treat me in a professional manner. Additionally Mr McCoy displayed deceptive business practices by refusing to divulge the amount payable on my trade vehicle until which time he gained the knowledge of the outstanding balance owed on my trade.

Additionally, a sales manager (name unknown) test-drove my trade vehicle while I spoke with Mr. McCoy at the dealership. Prior to the test drive my vehicle displayed no signs of mechanical problems. Immediately following the dealers unsupervised test drive and inspection of my vehicle the Service Engine Soon light was illuminated. This is a point the service manager later used as a reason to devalue the value of my vehicle as a potential trade.

Mr. McCoy and the sales manager attempted to use a rebate offer from the Ford motor company as reasons for not adjusting the price, then became extremely hostile when confronted with the fact that the rebate offer came from Ford and had no effect on the business practices of their organization.

Because I believe North Point personnel ( I will not make assumptions as to whom) caused mechanical problems with my vehicle I am requesting this dealer pay for the necessary repairs on my vehicle (to be preformed by another Ford Dealer or licensed mechanic.)
