I purchased a newer truck from North Texas. I was told they sent many trucks to Canada. They verbally guaanteed me that I would have no troubles and that they would assist me if there were any difficulties. They lied to make the sale. Four months later I have not been able to import the truck because of many alterations they did not advise me of.
When I brought this to their attention and asked if they would help or take the truck back they said no. To date they won't return my phone calls or emails. The only way I will be able to recover anything from them is by sueing them. This is what they told me. Unbelievable.

We do not guarantee that any truck will pass Canadian inspection, particularly lifted or otherwise modified trucks. The truck in question had a full 6-inch lift kit. Canadian inspection authorities are particularly mindful of lifted trucks. We do sell many trucks to Canada, however, we do not know all of the rules and regulations of Canadian border inspection nor do we claim to. We will help in any way possible, as we did in this case. The customer could not get the truck through inspection and we offered him some alternatives. We offered to help him title the truck to his home address in Washington state in compliance with all U.S. laws. He said he could not register the truck there for reasons unknown. He then asked us if we could register the truck to his friend's address in Texas. At this point, we became uncomfortable with the legality of offering this assistance and declined his request. He then asked us if we would buy back the truck and we said we would indeed buy the truck, but not for the price he bought 6 months prior dues to many factors such a market shift. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that any vehicle (modified or otherwise) will pass Canadian inspection. We cannot and will not ever guarantee a vehicle will pass Canadian inspection. There is much more to this particular story than is being disclosed in this report.
We have sold 3,500 truck and we try to do the right thing. Sometimes it is impossible to find a solution that is amicable to everyone involved. The number of our satisfied customers far outweighs the handful that leave dissatisfied.
