Northern Lakes Building Services Contract Fraud, Non-Pay Employees, Hiring Scam, Internet
Northern Lakes Building Services is a construction and cleaning company currently based in Duluth, MN. The company is owned/operated by Bill Temme, but rumors told now he uses fake names also.
IF YOUR CONSIDERING HIRING NORTHERN LAKES BUILDING SERVICES..
This "Bill" hired me and a bunch of other guys, some from as far as Texas, Florida and Nevada to come and work for his commercial window cleaning division in Bemidji, MN on the University. Bemidji State. The biggest concern for anyone considering hiring this company to do work.. Is that he told me and Joe, another scammed employee, to simply NOT COMPLETE the job properly. A $5000 dollar portion of the job was to spray for spiders and other bugs on the window sills. He told us, "dont worry about that, the school wont be able to tell if we did it or not". This was reported to the school by my co-worker after some other concerns, and he was Fired immediately. This lack of work was noticed by the school, and is documented with them. Bill also does about everything else wrong he can to cut corners and save money. He fails to have proper safety equipment at the job too. Even telling us to "just go without" a cheap piece of safety equipment needed for repelling off buildings. Also, tries to aviod giving his workers w-4's so they wont fall under his liability. This could come as a law-suit to any company looking to hire him. He also attempts to seek work in Northern Minnesota claiming to be an Unemployed Carpenter Needing Work on Craigslist. Then just gets his crew to go work the pity jobs
IF YOU SEE ONE OF HIS AD'S ON CRAIGSLIST SEEKING NEW EMPLOYEES..
This part I could write an entire book on. But do not go to work for this man Bill Temme. The biggest reason is that he owe's me and many other workers THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. and will simply fire you and send you home when he is done with you. But while your on his projects, he fails to give you the per-diem money needed to get food. Will have you at times without lodging after he fails to pay for the hotels. and as I said I could write a book. But this Bill put us through absolute hell, leaving us stuck far away from home without money. His ads are general "high rise window cleaning" ads on craigslist or perhaps other places. When you respond to these ads, you might get him, or some other company involved in the scam by the name of APEX out of Chicago. BEWARE for your own good, Thank You, Chad
