When the sales representative came to my home after a telemarketing solicitation, I went into the deal supposing that the leasing of credit card equipment was all one company and all local meaning in my state of Utah. That was a lie. I was told that in two or three months I would make back more than the full amount of money the lease would cost me. That was a lie. I was told I would only pay exact certain amounts. That was a lie. There were hidden costs. I was told I would get good training and good customer support. That was a lie. Capitol Merchant Services in Murray, Utah, got me mixed up with two more companies I wasn't told about beforehand -- Electronic Payment Systems in Englewood, CO and MBF Leasing in New York, NY. But I never supposed that lurking in the shadows would be Norther Leasing Systems, Inc. I got a nasty letter Monday July 10, insisting that I owed them in the neighborhood of $5700 the full amount of the lease and I had ten days to pay them off from the time the nasty letter reached my house. That was from Northern Leasing Systems in the same building as MBF Leasing. Our state Division of Consumer Protection informed me that Northern Leasing Systems owns MBF Leasing. I will never again sign another lease contract. We are told to trust people like that, but I can never trust such people again. The contract I signed was not the same contract I got back several days later. It was taken into the Murray office and modified and when I got the so-called copies of the contract back, it wasn't anything like what I was hurriedly nearly forced to sign. My name was written on it by three different people. It sure wasn't my printing. I believe my name was forged. I was never told that I would be mixed up with Northern Leasing Systems by CMS. Capitol Merchant Services (CMS) in Utah has recently changed its name to "Acumen" and now they are just "Merchant Services". The headquarters of Capitol Merchant Services is in Colorado, and they will not pay us one penny back that they scammed from us. When I say "us", I mean a whole bunch of people. I'm surprised they remain in business unscathed and they even talk shady and can't say a straight forward word to you. CMS knew what they were doing from the get-go, and that it was a swindle. They also were probably aware that they were signing me up to end up dealing with Northern Leasing Systems. I was told by some very wise people who have a good knowledge of scams like this to absolutely refuse to pay these leasing companies anything. I was told by my friends who have a knowledge of these types of scams that if enough people refused to pay them anything, then they could not keep scamming others and would not keep scamming more people. One way to stop this type of thing is for enough people to refuse to pay them and to let others know they were scammed. They could not get away with it, if enough people would be brave enough to not be intimidated by these crooks. I don't trust any kind of merchant services anymore because I do not want to take a chance of being swindled again. I do not want to sign another contract as long as I live. Going into business for myself is just not worth it, if it is going to lead to predators like this. This type of swindle hurts everyone and makes it harder to trust everyone. Please let everyone concerned with Morthern Leasing Systems when a class action lawsuit will take place and how we can get involved in our localities. Signing this type of contract is paving the road to hell, not only for those that get caught in this snare, but also for many others. When we pay them money, we are aiding and abetting others getting caught and are fostering crime.

I am quite aware that they are not a credit card company. They are merchants of equiptment for taking credit cards, and I still say they are CROOKS.......Do Not Ever get involved with anyone that has Northern Leasing involved in their name. The person that sells you the bill of goods is usually from your area, and they are selling for Northern Leasing.... and you are correct they don't tell you everything. Although I have been with other companies that are up front on all the cost. As you can read from the other people that have filed complaints on Northern Leasing, they are a very shady company, that shouldn't be allowed to even be in business. I don't understand how a company can be out of your life for over 7 yrs, and come back and demand money (that they are not even due) and be able to get a judgment against you for this money.....they are very unethical.

Northern leasing is a leasing company that lease equipment. They do not process credit cards. You were signed up for a lease through a sales rep who did not disclose everything to you who works for a processing company. Northern Leasing is a third party company.
