Complaint Review: Novapay - Chicago Illinois

What a racket. This is 1 of the companies that hacked thousands of Twitter accounts in the end of Nov. 2010 & beginning of Dec. 2010. They suck you in with a $2.95 offer of a version of the Acai diet. For example 1 of the links goes to http://news-6-report.com/diet-/#.

Notice ALL of the links on the page/navigation are the same. Then to order you see http://news-6-report.com/diet-/acai.php which redirects several times to this Acai Lipo landing page (complete with referral tracking in the URL): http://acailipo.trytadalafil.com/us/trial/

I never received any product. Any my credit card company even called to confirm authorization. Now, 6 weeks later, I get an automated call from my CC company alerting me to a potential fraud charge of $83.17. And then I get the below email. Not even a valid reply-to address nor a valid from. Here's the complete header:

Interesting that 174.143.61.35 is hosted in Miami's Racskspace office.

Here is the email I got 1/4/11. No mention of the $83.17 charge just the initial order back in late Nov.

After being on hold for over 30 minutes I get a "Jennifer" who tells me I have to cancel via a web site: http://www.cancelsite.com/mc/ & she has to provide me with her name, password & other form fields. She refused to credit me and says there's nothing she can do AND HANGS UP ON ME! I call my credit card company and they say they're blocking the charge so I shouldn't be billed. Hope this helps others...
