I am not a friend of either party however I am a customer of N.W.P.S.S. I have made 11 purchases since 1998. I have never had a problem what so ever including with my Lightbar purchases which 2 of 3 took 5 weeks. It is common knowlede that Whelen can take 12 weeks, Code3 8 weeks and other Mfrs even longer. So 5 weeks was a relief. The 3rd light took 8 days to reach me.
Now, after 15 min of some googleing I have found this information out and hope that it will be usefull.
N.W.P.S.S has been the same name since 1998. Same domain, same owners, same everything. Looks like phone has changed twice. They have 3 complaints here since 1998. This is very rare. Most would have 100's.
Viper Lightbar Co was ran by all Vol. Firefighters and was doing very well until Federal Signal Corp sued them for calling their Lightbar a "Viper LED Lightbar". They state that it could be confused by their customers with the Viper LED Dashlight by Federal Signal. Until just recently www.viperlightbars.com pointed to www.federalsignal.com and now appears as if a new site is being built. A simple Who-is search will confirm this as well as the message boards. Basicly, they were screwd by big corporate america.
Ozark Safety Products is out of St Louis/Tulsa and OKC. It is owned by Eric Reese and appears to be a parent company to many, many other companies. Their website is still there but under a diffrent domain or a sub domain. It is unclear if O.S.P. purchased N/W.P.S.S or visa-versa.
I found that there was an issue between N.W.P.S.S and a subject named "Mike" who ran Strobe Light King, a known online fraud. He apperently opened up as LED Outfitters and started accepting Dealers for their products. He ripped most of them off leaving them to deal with their customers. It is not hard to assume that N.W.P.S.S had a like situation with them and was left holding the bag.
I found that N.W.P.S.S has posted proudly that they have supplied the Secret Service in Washington DC and many FBI Offices. Simply doing a Google Image search of S.S. vehicles, I have found pics that do resemble the same products offered at their website. I have found a post where the director of the FBI at an office out of country has came to the defense of N.W.P.S.S in another posting/complaint on a message board as a very satisfied, returning customer. His email address is verified as true to who he states he is.
So to Mike in Boise, You may have been a victim of someone who victimized where you purchased from. If you used Paypal, They would have certainly refunded you with the slightest complaint since we all know that Paypal is the real criminal, just by the many websites such as www.paypalsucks.com. I feel that with 15 to 20 min of your own investigation, you may have been more help than harm. It is appearent that you have only one goal in mind which is to put out a Vol. Firefighter ran buisness by posting a less than truthful complaint report.
As the owner of an Investigation Service in North Arkansas/South Missouri, I will continue to make my purchases from N.W.P.S.S as I have found that they have had a long, rough road and have still maintained their service with what I have found to be an above average rating.
I hope this was helpful to both parties involved and anyone who comes across this complaint. I wish both only the best.

I ordered a light bar from this company and waited the lead time for it. After waiting the length of time for the light bar i received nothing. When I emailed the company I was given the explanation that parts hadn't come in. When I again emailed them I was ignored. I filed a dispute with Discover card who investigated the situation and ended up refunding my money. I also called down to local firehouses in the area where this "company" existed and found out I was one of several people who had called down wanting information about this "company". The members in the area confirmed that there was no company at all. The company has changed its names several times, going from the Viper light bar company, Ozark Safety Supply, and then NWA Public Safety Supply. Ozark has "closed" since then. BEWARE, it is a RIPOFF

This person placed an order for the 4 lightbars which have a 3 to 5 week lead time. The customer acknoledged this at checkout. The supplier of the product celebrates the Jewish holidays and was closed for 10 days including the weekends. The customer was notified of this. This customer contacted an employee and for 4 days threatened and critizized this employee as well as demanding a refund from the employee himself. I personally instructed the emplyee not to refund becouse the customer also filed a chargeback with his credit card company thru paypal. This all after the order had already shipped. We contacted UPS and stopped the process of delivery since paypal sides with the customer 99% of the time. The Customer has not received his refund becouse the CC company and Paypal dispute the complaint for 45 days. this is not our fault. This customer has been listed on the National Black List to prevent him from ordering Emergency Vehicle Products in the future. His Cliant has made their purchase with us directly and has the product. This customer ( James Communications )has several complaints and several listings as a hard to deal with buisness. This customer's experience was caused from his own ignorance. The employee of nwapss has entered a complaint into Cimerron County which was accepted into civil court. trial pending.
