Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

A young girl and a young guy came to my door on February 13, 2010 selling magazines. The girl did all the talking. She said she was trying to make money to pay for a trip. She said she lived in the neighborhood, so I thought she was a local high school kid and wanted to help her.

I agreed to place an order, and told her that I would be moving and wanted to know when my order would arrive. She assured me it would be here by the middle to end of March, which was good with me, since I knew I wouldn't be moving before then.

After I filled out the form and gave her my check, she told me that her dad wanted to instill a good work ethic in her by making her offer to do chores for the people who ordered books from her. She said he was a "military guy", and that he wanted her to work hard for her money. I felt bad about that, but she insisted. I asked her what sort of chores she has done for other people, and she said that she had cleaned an RV, washed vehicles, etc. So I told her she could wash my truck. She said she would be back the following day at 4:00 p.m. to complete my chore, after she had completed some chores she had set up for others. She never showed up, and I never heard from her again, nor did I receive the magazines I ordered. My check in the amount of $49 cleared the bank on March 2, 2010.

I used to work for nxcess sales.  I was a very good agent and very loyal to Mark Speigner the owner of the company.  He used to be a very kind generus man until he started sleeping with Jolesa.  Jolesa was an agent until she got mark to cheat on his wife and made them split up.  Ever since that happend mark got very greedy and gave all of our money to her so she could go shopping and buy pills things got waaayy worse when mark started doing the pills to.  I remember when he would sit at check in and almost fall asleep because he was so high on vicodens.  then he would go back to his room and jolesa would sneak out and have sex with the carhandlers and agents on crew.  I left after seeing all of this stuff happen, it was very bad and alot of the other agents strated doing the bad stuff to.  I just talked to one of the people that still works for them and now they are in houston cashing all of their checks so they can buy drugs and not clearing there orders even though there website says they are out of business.  nxcess sales used to be a very good company to work for, but mark and jolesa have screwed it all up.

I don't care what you think you were trained to do by this company, and I don't put much value in any ex-employee's defense Nxcess. I don't care what you find hard to believe, but the fact of the matter is, a lot of people, including myself have been ripped off by this company. Every word I said was an absolute true and exact account of the way it happened. And I was not told I could cancel my check at any time, nor would I have any reason to do so believing I would receive the product I paid for. My check was made out to Nxcess and cashed by Nxcess, and I received nothing in return. Just because you worked in the office doesn't make you a know it all. You have absolutely no way of knowing if Nxcess ever sent my magazines out or not, so it is totally inappropriate on your part to call me a liar, which you are in fact doing. Sounds like all they did was brainwash you. If they were such a wonderful company, why did you leave? Do you think there is a possibility that you are the one who is wrong and not everyone else? Your story might go over a little better if you simply told of your positive experience with this company without calling all of us liars and exaggerators. I'm still not quite sure what they trained you to do, but it seems like they taught you to be a good scam artist with no manners. The worst thing you could ever do as a representative or ex-representative of Nxcess is to bash all of us who have been scammed by this company. It just makes it appear you were in on their ripoff game too.

Nxcess was a scam. These people who went door to door to sell you books or magazines were scamming people out of their money. When I worked for them for 2 days, I never liked it. I then realized the second day that these people took us out is when I realized that NXCESS was a whole scam of people getting money. On that 2nd day, I quit. One reason was is that the cash that they bribed people of they bought drugs with it at the hotel they were staying at. My cousin convinced me to go and so I did and found out that they were scamming folks of their own money. So if you see these people who sell this DO NOT BUY from them. I was an Ex-Employee and I regret doing it. I felt so bad after noticing what I did. SO PLEASE IF THEY SAY THAT THEY ARE FROM SCHOOL DOING SOMETHING FOR ENGLAND OR DOING A ROLLER DURBY OR WHATEVER THEY SAY THEY ARE DOING....DO NOT BELIEVE THEM. This is called a canvas and then they real you in, hook and sink the line. If I had photos of who they where I'd share them with you!!! SO FOR THE LAST TIME, PLEASE IGNORE THESE PEOPLE!!!!!

An NXCESS employee who finds it hard to believe that the original reporter here was scammed? Seriously? I absolutely believe the report, and I'll tell you WHY:

Approximately two weeks ago a boy and a girl came to the door of my parents home. The female did all of the talking. She said that the two of them were trying to earn a trip to England by selling books and magazines and asked if my father would be interested in buying some. She stated that her aunt lived around the corner, and that she was currently attending our local high school. She gave the EXACT SAME STORY about her father being in the military, and said that he liked for her to earn her own money by helping the people she sold magazines to with various chores, etc.

My father is 70 years old. He has arthritis in his hands and has trouble writing. She offered to write out the checks for him, one for herself and one for the male, in the amount of $49 each. He allowed her to do so and watched as she wrote them, correctly. That was two weeks ago...

Today I checked my parents bank statement, as I handle their finances. There were two charges...each check made out to NXCESS for $149 each. I viewed copies of the checks online. After they left my parents home, the girl used an ink pen to ALTER THE CHECKS, changing them from the original $49, to $149 instead. These two "sales-people" from this "reputable" company, scammed my elderly parents out of $300.

I called the bank and notified them as to what happened. They took the proper steps to return both checks to the company, return my parents money, and file a report. I also called the police department and filed a complaint with them as well.

NOTICE: door to door sales are PROHIBITED unless the sales-people register with the police department!! They have to obtain a PERMIT, and will carry that with them on their sales. Ask to see this permit. If they don't have one, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Perhaps you should have stayed in school rather than selling magazines. You might have learned how to write a letter and use punctuation.

Being courteous, "working" many doors, and using so claimed disclaimer receipts does not make you, Nxcess Sales or your magazine processor (a.k.a bosses) in Phoenix less guilty of constantly defrauding people.   You are associated with a scam, disguising as a legitimate business, even licensed under Arizona law.   This scam buses young people around the US  who pretend to live in our neighborhoods, who falsely claim to go to  nearby high-schools or colleges, who falsely claim to be fundrasing, and who falsely tell our neighbors that we donated money, to con people out of their money.   NXcess Sales and the other scams based out of Phoenix don't exist to sell magazines, they exist defraud.   You even figured out a gimmick, just claim that your donating the magazines to a local library or school.  Pretty clever.. I'd be proud... if I were a criminal.
