Bankruptcy is a very emotional and trying time in people's lives. I pride myself, and my firm, on being able to look past the case, and actually focus on the person. This is reflected in the hundreds of positive reviews I have received. While I know who you are, I know that you have chosen to remain anonymous on this website review.
One of the hardest things about chapter 11 cases is having the ability to afford payments on your assets. I was the second firm you hired and you had many motions in place. I've often wished in hindsight I could have had your file from the beginning as consistency is very important with a case as delicate as yours.
I was saddened when you decided to pull the file from my firm. I understand your financial outlook can be frustrating and that I am an easy target. I hope this misdirected review gives you some peace. You need to do what you feel is best for your family, and I wish you success in your future endeavors.

I am facing foreclosure due to excessive un covered family medical bills. I contacted Oak Tree. Mr Kurk said “every problem has a solution” after a very difficult almost impossible request to get a loan modification with Dietech. Dietech changes your single point of contact every month and each new one does not have access to last one ...
Oak Tree took 1850.00 very difficult to obtain dollars. They said they could do nothing until the fee is paid in full. This was very limited funds to get involved selling my wife’s wedding set to get a loan mod attempt. The rejection of that outlined was that we made too much money to qualify. I do not understand how that could not be mathematically figured before submittal or how the numbers where obtained. They did the mod I never saw the package.
Now Oak Tree is saying the only option is a charter 13 filling that would be over 4,000.00 and once more must be paid in full up front before they start.
Of the many , many phones calls to Mr. Kurk I have gotten thru to him maybe 10% of the time at best. Return calls in turn are about that 10%. The only call or person I heard from was there paralegal. Even there fax machine did not work , I had to scan and e mail.
Oak Tree Law is only for those who have money in hand and need legal protection but can do so writing a check today for 5,000.00

It is so sad that Julie takes advantage of clients. It did not end in 2012. It continues to this day. She is Julie Villalobos now. Still connected to Ryan MOradi. Julie lies to her clients and her team lies to them as well. They all continue to lie. Julie knows that this person probably used an address because they did not want to be identified however she is still playing the same games. It is best not to work with her firm as they will tell you that they are representing you in a chapter 7 , then they will encourage you to file a modification with your lender. Those are all things that they say you are not being charged for but in the end they charge you dearly by changing the way that they bill to coincide with the bankruptcy. They will tell you to do one thing as part of their strategy and then will actually not contact you. They miss court dates. In fact, they will advise you to miss a court date in order to get your case extended which can be trouble some for you.
They pretend to do a whole lot and will quickly make up all kind of charges. This is especially true if you work with them in a Chapter 13 and they really have a field day with your finances if you file a ch. 11. Very few attorneys handle Ch 11 but they will tell you that they do when in all honesty, Julie will not show up and the other team members supposedly don't do the Ch. 11.
Julie does not care about her clients. She is just a thief trying to get over on her clients. It is really sad that she takes the funds of her clients and actually smirks about it. She is a liar and has a good modification scam going on right now. Everything that I have read thus far is true about their firm not getting back to you, telling you the wrong thing to do thereby causing you to lose your property.
The staff members like Mark Hoffman are very smart and seem convincing but they get caught up as well in Julies web of lies and constantly have to work to help her to cover her own ineffieciencies and lies.
Stay away. There are so many bankruptcy attorneys. After losing nearly 15,000 with them, I would advise you to run in the other direction. Do not go to Oak Tree Law as they will not truly help you. If the bank is going to work with you either way with them or without them, I say save your money and contact your bank . Don't give this company any business. They will mislead you and then make it seem like it is your fault.

Greetings,
I have just read the scathing complaint on Oak Tree Law by Liz Harrison as posted on Ripoff Report.
Seems to me that there is more to this story than Ms. Harrison is sharing.
I have dealt with this law firm for over a year. In the time preceding…retaining them, and paying their retainer…they held my hand and provided legal advice for no cost. They bent over backward to help me.
Contrary to what Ms.Harrison has represented, my experience with Oak Tree has been 100% different and one million percent professional. They always returned either calls or emails, and at no time have I ever been concerned about advice given me.

I am sorry that you had to go through all that stress. You are not alone. I just called Oaktree and from what you discribed it does not sound like the company that I just called. This is my first time ever calling this law firm and was quite surprised that when the operater transfered my call that an attorney answered the phone. I found him quite helpful and that he took the time to inquire about my situation. He said that he would refer me to another attourney who was more knowledgable with my type of issue. So far my experience with this firm has been positive and I will let you know how the rest of my situation turns out.

First, let me say that my heart breaks for your painful situation. I believe there must be some confusion though. My name is Julie Moradi-Lopes, and I own Oaktree Law. To the best of my knowledge, we have never met. Here is why I believe you may be thinking of another firm:
