I was browsing a job board on the internet and discovered an ad for Occupational Advencement Center that posted a advertisement for federal government postal positions.  I submited an applicaion along with contact information via the internet.  Days after submitting my application I received a telephone call regarding my application.  The call was from Occupational Advancement Center, informing me personally that I had been selected for postal battery testing, training and placement.

Long story short, they were pretending to be the hiring authority for the United States Postal Service,  and also claimed that I was guaranteed a government position after training and testing from home with a compact disc that cost roughly one hundred and fourty dollars after shipping, handling, and rush processing.  Another long story short, I purchased the cd with the promise of sucessful passing of the battery test once drilling myself in practice tests contained on the cd.  Occupational Advancement Center also promised that they would themselves schedule me for a postal battery test, guaranteed to pass, and placed with employment in a position and as an employee of the u.s. government postal service.  This whole transaction and conversation took place on the phone with a person identifying themselves as Occupational Advancement Center.
