On April 6th, 2017 I was in the a mall to get my eyebrows threaded.  On my way to the kiosk I was approached by a young man who asked if he could show me a way to get rid of the bags under my eyes, I tried to walk away, but since the mall had just opened I was an easy target and I finally let him put the item on under my eye. I saw the difference and he did the other under eye and i purchased the product.

Then the real sales pitch began. He asked if he could put something else on my face and promised me it would only take 5 minutes....30 minutes later i was bamboozled into purchasing over $900 worth of their product.  As I walked away, I questioned should I do this or not but had to get my eyebrows done before going to a hair appointment.

When I got to my hair appointment I talked with my hairdresser and she talked me through the decision to return the items and get my money back.  I called the number that the young man had given me to contact him should anything happen or I have a reaction to the product.  He answered and when I introducted myself, he immediatly hung up on me.  I then went to the receipt and called the number on the receipt, it was disconnected.  That's when I noticed on the receipt that it stated absolutely no refunds.

I immediately called my debit card company and tried to file a complaint.  I was told that at the time I called  that the transaction had not been completed on their end and nothing could be done, to include filing a complaint until the transaction had completed.

After I was finished with my hairdresser, I immediately went back to the Mall and went to the Mall Management office and asked to talk with the Mall manager.  I explained what had transpired and she took the product and the receipt and asked me to take a seat.  She walked over the kiosk and an hour and a half later came back with the product and told me that she was not impressed with the workers or this company.  She also stated that she was going to contact the owner and went back into an office.  

Another 30 minutes and she out and called me into the office where the owner was put on a speaker phone.  The owner told me that she was not going to give me a refund as she had signed an agreement with the Mall that all she had to have her workers do is post a sign that stated no refunds.  I told her that I knew that there is a  Federal Law that if I purchase anything over $100 that I have, by law, 3 days to return the item(s). She stated that because she's a cosmetic company she doesn't have to take any items back that have left the kiosk and absolutely no refund.

I told her that I had called the debit card company and filed a complaint.  She stated she didn't care.  I told her time and time again that there were no signs posted and at no time was I told that there were no refunds.  She then stated that she would refund me $400 and I could keep the cosmetics.  If I didn't take that, then there was no deal.

I took the $400 and immediately filed a complaint with my debit card company, as the transaction had been completed by then, 4 1/2 hours later.  

Now I was just notified by my debit card company that they accepted a handwritten note that the owner stated that they have signs posted that there is no refund on purchases.  I will be contacting them later today to dispute this.

 

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY OR EVEN THEIR KIOSKS!
