Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On June 2, 2003 Ocwen took over service on my mortgage. Since that date they have called me (6)six times to ask me for my payment. I have a "seasoning period" of 30 days in order to get their information and a payment statement. As of the 17th of June I have not received a single piece of information from Ocwen. They continue to call and harrass me for a payment. All I ask of them is that they send me a statement with payment coupon. They say they sent it on the 6th of June. Here it is (11)eleven days later and still no statement.

So, "Thomas" never a last name or ID #, calls and wants me to make a payment today(June 17, 2003) and I tell him I still haven't received a payment statement. He wants me to make a payment over the phone, to which I say "No". Do I look stupid to you? You see I've been reading all of your rip-off letters. I want proof that I made a payment. He then tells me that if I don't make the payment all of my subsequent payments will be deliquent. And they will have to report to my credit bureau the fact that I was late with my payments. I told him I had a seasoning period and that I wanted a statement before I was going to pay anything.

I can already see the writing on the walls people. Next will come the Delinquency Notices and then the Foreclosure Notices and all I want is a statement about my account!

Here's the kicker! They already have $3600 of my Escrow moneys that are needed to pay some property taxes that I received on the 19th of May. I forwarded them via snail mai and email the documents and the letter giving them permission to pay these taxes and nobody knows anything about it! They won't even give me a phone # to the Tax Dept. at Ocwen! All I want to do is conduct business in a clean normal fashion and Ocwen won't even allow that to happen. Sounds like lawyer time to me!

I'll keep you posted.

Dont' trust Ocwen with your taxes.

#2Consumer Suggestion

Neil: Don't trust Ocwen with your taxes. They will do one of 2 things: 1. Take your money and won't pay the taxes. You then will be "delinquent" (they love this). Results are Bankrupcy and/or Foreclosure with your sure jail time in Ocwen prison, and no hope out of that misery for you. and/or 2. Pay your taxes for you and ask you the money back X 10 with the same results, since they will make it impossible to pay back. Their phone calls have no factual value, only psychological value. Ocwen has no integrity. Hende, their calls are pure DECEPTION. Call your local tax people and make the sacrifice to pay your taxes yourself before they are due in your city. If they are due, pay them yourself anyway. Document all these actions with certified letters to your tax people, your State Attorney and all credit agencies. Send certified proof of payments too (You send copies to Ocwen to follow "etiquette" but they don't remedy anything, because Ocwen does not receive whatever means a protection for the borrower) Stop asking for the statement over the phone. Do it in writing instead (always ceritified) and with certified copies to decent institutions explaining every thing for your protection (IRS, HUD, Buddy OTS, DOJ, etc. etc.)You need witnesses,..witnesses...We are not supposed to deal with a criminal, understand it. Keep copies of everything. They are stealing time to victimize you big time. Think of those fees they have in mind for you! It is the Art of Ocwen, the THIEF. Use Certified Payment for your monthly payment. Just give the beast his piece of meat by now. I am telling you this I learned by experience, the hard way. You are trying hard to make them behave in the right way and that's an exercise in futility. Writing the letter will be like crying out in the dessert bu the copies will save your life later, believe me. The most probable way out of Ocwen: Join the Hanson v. Ocwen lawsuit. (You might try to refi out but they make refinancing almost impossible, and almost always desroy your credit if you try to escape them) Joining the class action is the most sensitive alternative. I know it sounds unbelievable and cruel; but it's a fact of life. You have to play with your coins, stay alert, and vigilant. You better arm yourself with patience, because Justice takes its time, and NEVER EVER TRUST OCWEN FSB.
