OCWEN Dirty tricks, loss of home, year of hell from OCWEN West Palm Beach Florida
The holder of my loan assigned it to Ocwen then disappeared. I was able to find a buyer for the property but the title was still in the original loan company's name.
All requests for a contact so that the sale could be completed was ignored by OCWEN. Instead they began a barrage of harrassment calls to my work, demanding full satisfaction and hanging up if I began any plea back to stop calling and just help us locate the missing company (who they had shared joint letterhead on at least one correspondence I had by the way) so that I could complete the sale and pay them off.
They then began to try and force me from the home illegally. On one occasion I came home to find my utilities off. A call to the electric company found that someone had called pretending to be a person of interest and said I had moved
On another occasion I came out of my bedroom to find two men trying to break open the front door. They had been hired by a representative of a branch of OCWEN and were there to take possession and set up a lock box having been told that the company who hired them owned the property and it was abandoned.
Then they attempted to sell the property at a foreclosure auction without notifications, in violation of several state and federal laws and guidelines.
Yet again, they violated more laws trying to again take possession of the property without due process yet refused to show up at court when their action was challenged even though they had already retained a local attorney to represent them.
During this entire time when confronted about what they were doing, they refused to submit any answer or rebuttal.
The house was eventually lost because I was never able to locate anyone who would be legally able to sign off the old company's interest (and OCWEN said they could sign not nor would not help us)
It was sold over to a company connected with them. They ended up with property to resell, I lost everything and in the end was close to a complete mental breakdown.
