Complaint Review: Office of recovery services Utah ORS - Ogden Utah

 Last year I separated from my wife, together we have two kids. It was around March that this happened, because they were still in school at the end of the year they stayed in Utah while I worked in wyomg as a nurse. During March and April they primarily stayed with my dad and a couple of days with my ex and the weekends with me. Due to my dad watching over them, taking them to school and preparing the meals I was giving him around 400 a month plus paying for my sons preschool Andy daughters meals at school. My ex put an application for ors, school vacation started and both of my kids came to live with me in Wyoming (they would see their mom every other week but stayed with me 2/3 of the summer). There's no court order for child support at this time or custody agreement. Around June ors started taking without warning and after I had talked to them over the phone in multiple occasions and sent evidence that the kids were with me (the only proof I had at the time was daycare when I had to work ), which they dismiss due to not been all week and just the days I worked. Took my ex's word without any proof that she had the kids whatsoever and collected over 1100 a month staying that I owed back child support. school started in Wyoming and both of my kids attended school there but ors didn't care and waited over a month to solve the issue, at this time my ex had claimed over 4000 dollars with no kids to maintain, after ors realized the kids where with me they continued to take 300 and change every month saying that I owed back child support. My ex used that money to hire a lawyer to take the kids from me, my lawyer dropped the ball and didn't present any of the necessary paperwork until a few days before the hearing and by that time to late to review. She got awarded the kids with me having joint custody and only seen them every other weekend. Ors started again taking money out of my Acc only this time over 1500 a month saying it was owed. My ex never paid for half the medical she was suppose to or for half the daycare, when I brought this issues with ors they dismiss them, stating that it wasn't their concern, I told them it was because when I received the initial paperwork they stated that they make sure the kids are covered by insurance and daycare and the parties responsible for or pay. I don't mind paying child support if it's legitimate but I had my kids for over 9 months and ors didn't care that she had no proof whatsoever that the kids where with her, they told me. It's your word against hers and we go with whoever filled the claim. No proof needed. These people are thiefs and they need to be stopped. I lost my job the beginning of February, again they didn't care they are still charging me every month, took my tax refund in full. When I got a new job in April I started handing my ex money for child support without going thru ors she gave me signed papers that she had received the money whole telling ors trying to collect more. Ors doesn't care about screwing anybody as long as they get paid for their services, which they do. It's disgraceful that a company that states is helping people just screw others because they didn't signed with them.i didn't need money from my ex to take care of my kids why would I file for child support when it's not needed.
