As a matter of policy, when a business becomes a member of the Corporate Advocacy Program they agree to allow Rip-off Report to contact every person who filed a complaint so they can make things right with them. The member business agrees in writing that they are not allowed to sue someone who files a complaint about their business if they were a customer. The 3 Reports about Oil City Surplus were all found to be false.

Oil City Surplus Robert John Ripped off our valves, pipes and fittings Houston, Texas
These guys stopped by and told our security that they had an appointment with our plant manager. We had no record of their appointment but did have equipment for sale.
I rescheduled an appointment for the next day and took them to an area that we were gonna demo out. Mark John gave me a bid on tanks .
Robert John was interested in valves and stainless steel schedule 40 pipes that were not available but our engineer recommended used carbon steel pipe and used valves that we were no longer using. Robert and Mark paid cash and received a receipt .
When they showed up to load out, they brought their own equipment handling company. Mark and Robert john misled their handling company and told them to load the NEW valves and stainless steel schedule 40 pipe.
I contacted them 3 days later and explained that they had taken the wrong product. They agreed to ship it back but never did.
subsequent attempts to contact them have resulted in nothing more than voice mails. They have avoided all of our calls.
The rigging company that Mark and Robert John hired was never paid.
The trucking company unloaded it at a local warehouse, the same day, an unknown trucking company then picked up the load. My material have never been recovered.
Please be cautious when dealing with any representative from Oil City Surplus.

Hello, my name is Mark John, owner of Oil City Surplus. These people have written false and untrue reports on my company and I. Pual Marks is my brother in law whom used to be employed by me- the arthur of this untrue report. Paul Marks is a theif who has stolen from my company to support his drinking habits. He has also stolen from my family and has written this report as an attempt to hurt my business and reputation. To whomever this may concern, there isnt any names provided nor company name or phone number. They have not left any contact info to be able to call and verify anything. I, Mark John, my brother and son are all long time residents in Houston, Texas. We are a family owned and operated establishment. Our company has many recommendations from several corporations and small businesses that can vouch for our business and how it is ran. Please before making any assumptions or decisions about Oil City Surplus take into consideration that these people didnt list any of their contact information. If you need to contact me or need any additional information, please feel free. I, Mark John, was never arrested or convicted, unlike my brother in law Paul Marks, his son Barry Marks and Joe Marks, and his son Adam Marks. Please check into their criminal records and you will find convictions for theft, robbery, lying and cheating. They are a group of people that are very untruthful and ruthless.
