Olmos Auto Group have always made everything work conveniently in their favor. I requested to cancel my warranty that I did not even want in the first place that I only had for a couple of months and the dealership salesperson (Steve Rodriguez), said he would cancel the warranty. Well, I call him up a few days later and he tells me that he needed the request to cancel in writing. I sent him the request through email around November 17, 2008 and my vehicle breaks down 2 days later. All while this is happening, out of the blue around the same time of the events, Steve asks that I bring the vehicle in for inspection. They are asking me to pay a prorate for the warranty but they won't cover the repairs. The warranty was $500 for 1 year and the vehicle totaled $6,300 so all total came out to $6,800. Before the vehicle broke down I had paid $5,800 so you could say that I paid for the warranty since it was all included in the sales contract. I also suspect Olmos of possibly sabotaging the vehicle because of the coincidence of the vehicle breaking down two days after cancellation of warranty and Olmos out of the blue wanting me to take the vehicle in for inspection around the same time. I believe they wanted for me to come out and say " I can't, the vehicle broke down'- this way I can't ask for the warranty to be reinstated. Or if I did not say anything and did ask for the warranty back they would ask "why, what is wrong with it? but they would already have known something was probably wrong with it. Plus, they never even sent me a confirmation of the warranty being cancelled. When I asked for the vehicle to be fixed, they conveniently said the warranty was already cancelled, but I never received notice or confirmation of it being cancelled! I had to send a written request of cancellation for it to be official but "oh" when it came to them cancelling it already, I never saw anything in writing of the warranty being cancelled! How convenient! I don't think so!
