On Track Modeling, OTM, Alpha Model Group RIPOFF BREACH OF CONTRACT NEVER RECEIVED PAYMENT FRAUD Charlotte North Carolina
I have worked for OTM for 3 years. In my 3 years of modeling with them I have only had a total of 2 bookings through them, paying only $12 an hour for about a total of 10 hours minus their 20%.
I, like many others was coaxed into paying for their photographer to shoot for my portfolio and their comp cards, but my total was a little more than the average I have read about. My comp cards, photo shoot and slides totaled over $700 out of my pocket. Oh but they were more than happy to set me up with an "easy payment schedule", please.
They wouldn't book me until my portfolio was completely paid off. I didn't finish my "easy payment schedule" for a whole year!
I was paid for the first job I worked for them, which was at the Indy 500. Of course it took 8 weeks to receive my $200. Then I didn't get another job for another year.
May of 2004 I was e-mailed for another job in Indy. I of course excitedly accepted it, and still have my contract. I worked that promotional gig for two 8 hour days in the sun at a park. I have yet to receive payment for that job.
I have called and left numerous messages on their Indy voicemail, whenever I get a receptionist to answer, the person I am to speak with is always coincidentally out of the office. I have also showed up to the office in person and she is also never there.
I know a few people who have worked for them in the recent past and they have nothing but negative things to say about the company. I actually currently work with 2 previous OTM employees and they had recently both done jobs for a friend that still works there and ironically enough, they have not been paid. One of them is owed about $600 to date.
To conclude this horrible lesson-learning experience, I was shocked and extremely ticked to recently discover that the Indianapolis office has permanently closed its doors. Which means for me, the three other people I worked with in May, and whoever else they have neglected to pay, we are s.o.l. There is almost nothing we can do about it.
