While surfing the web, I encoountered a pay per use site. I did not check the "I Agree" box and I simply closed out of the site. Two weeks later, I get a bill for $30.00 for 6 min. And if that is not enough, I'm supposed to have an additional $1.99 per minute billed to my phone bill? $47.00 for a call I did not make or services I did not use. I haven't even been able to reach their web site for "customer assistance".

How can we let them know we dispute the bill when they can't be reached? If they think I will simply pay this bill because of it's relatively low amount, they are mistaken. I am very careful to account for every dime of my buget, and I don't beleive that I should have to pay this bill.

I have said all I have to say, and I will say no more. If you folks have any evidence, please do the following: 1. Call our customer service # 2. State that you wish to send a dialer application for investigation that you feel is out of compliance. 3. The rep on the phone will give you further instructions. If you guys wish to listen to "Paul" who issued a death threat and endorsed other illegal activities, such as hacking, feel free to do so. I've done everything I could to ask for evidence, and thanks to this thread there's a record of it.

It's National one telecom running the tired old modem dialer con again!

Search google for national one telecom. Read all the files. These dumbasses even loaded their fake modem dialer onto a television stations computer. They got tons of free advertising there! Scamming channel 8 in NY! It's the same old tired con as last year. They've been working this nonsense now for 9 months. Same thing over and over. All the feds know about it. They just laugh at the fools. They're into all 50 states, too. Plus guam and puerto rico. Program comes over the internet wire. Installs on your computer. Dials out silently. The modem speaker is turned off. Plus, the program waits until you are asleep at night. Then it calls 44-207-335-84(00). It's in the United Kingdom. It always calls the same number. You get phone bill. No way to contact national, because all they have is post office box. Nationalone is fraud web site. Tells you to pay up or else. They call and threaten your credit with fake collection agency. Collection express. It's hacked onto a vermont state site. Nobody is ever home there either. Dumbest con around, but scared people fall for it. The phone company helps it along. They get a cut of the money. Needless to say, nothing ever hits the real credit agencies. It's all empty threats. Right now, women may actually call you and demand money. That's gonna change real soon, though. Soon as someone finds the real address, somebody will be paying them a nice little visit. It could be N.hampshire, or vermont. Maybe NY. Time will tell. I think they will find that their line will go dead, permanently! I wish I could be there when they look outside and see that the people waiting for them aren't cops, and nobody will be fooling around with any warrants. Trapped, with nowhere to run. Angry people who demand their money back. That will finally put a stop to this modem hijacker fraud once and for all. Send this ripoff report in with your bill. Your LEC will get the idea pretty quick. Good luck!
