These are the 2 responses I got when going after onlinepublicart.com. Not much use but I fully intend to make a big fuss with the domain host with constant emails - everybody else who has been ripped off needs to start bombarding these companies with repeated emails then maybe they will do something about it. I'm not giving up with this especially after seeing how many other poor souls have been taken by this scumbag. I am also going to contact the US Secret Service - they helped me fight the same kind of fraud being perpetrated out of Indonesia against my company so I know how to get it done. Stay tuned for updates! We are the Registrar of the domain name, OnlinePublicArt.com, however, we are not the Registrant nor are we Hosting the site. The reason the domain is on 'BadWhoisShutdown' nameservers is because the domain has 'Bad Whois/Contact Information.' Therefore, the website itself is not up and running since we have shut it down. I hope that information helps, Sincerely, Ravi Puri Dotster, Inc. Dear Sharon, Concearning to your mail, please notice the following. I reported on this company's fraudulent charging of my credit card yesterday. I filed it under the name WWW.ONLINEPUBLICART.COM. However, if you do a search just on onlinepublicart, you will find that as of now there are at least half a dozen persons who have entered reports of rip-offs by this entity. All of them happened in the last week or so, and all are for amounts in the $10 to $12 range. My opinion is that this company/person has somehow just found a way to tap into lots of people's checking accounts and credit cards, and is just now becoming very active. It/he/she probably hopes to make hundreds or thousands of quick hits at 10 bucks or so, figuring most victims will overlook or not question such a small amount. Then it/he/she will probably do a quick disappearing act. I sincerely hope that the proper authorities will move on this before the scoundrel vamooses. As previously reported, the Web site www.onlinepublicart.com is not active. However, I checked the registration information for that domain and found the following. Hope someone can make use of it to shut down this scam! Registrant: Televinet S.A. de C.V. Av. Chapultepec 473 1er. piso Col. Here's the additional information I was able to find. As noted, the Web site www.onlinepublicart.com seems not to exist -- or whatever was there has been taken down. However, it IS a registered domain. Here is the information I got from a Whois search: Registrant: Televinet S.A. de C.V. Av. Chapultepec 473 1er. piso Col.
