oohilove.com This is a pay-to-bid auction website for luxury items advertised on but not by ebay. Arbitrary end to auctions, so can spend hundreds of dollars with bids with virtually no chance of winning. MUST B Internet, California
Oohilove.com is a new company that operates a pay-to-bid auction for luxury items on the internet. The bids are 99 cents each and are sold in large blocks 50 - 700. This winds up being very expensive when you realize that there is no clear end to the auction as in ebay, so your bids are meaningless, because you have no idea when it will end.
As the time ticks down to zero, each bid placed adds seconds to the clock ad infinitum. The auction is stopped in what appears to be an arbitrary way and is most often one by the automatic bidder.
The automatic bidder is a device used by oohilove to promote purchase and use of more bids. Employing the automatic bidder, you allocate a number of bids to be used by company, and you determine at what price bidding should begin and end with your bids.
I have tried this and my many bids were used up in moments, even though manual bidders were around. As a manual bidder, you will never win (unless you are bidding in one of the non-automatic bidding auctions).
I am quite certain this is a scam and it warrants investigation by the Attorney General of California (perhaps nationally, since it operates at least nationally).
At the very least, it should be investigated by the Better Business Bureau.
It is a dangerous gambling site, and the mild advice on website to practice careful bidding is undone in attempt to win.
These people are clearly raking in millions (or will soon), if they are not stopped.
