I purchased a keyless entry remote for a 2003 Audi A6 Quattro from OriginalKeyless.com. It arrived with instructions to manually program it, and if I could not to have a locksmith do it. They said Audi dealers charge exorbitant sums of money to program keyless entrys or will not do it at all because they want to sell me their remote.
I could not program it manually using their instructions. I called every locksmith in town (120,00 people in the metropolitan area.) None could program it; all said I had to take it to a dealer.
So I first tried 2 independent mechanics who have expensive SnapOn computers for Audi; neither could program it.
The instrument panel went bad on us while we were out of town. The out of town dealer replaced the instrument panel, programmed my one good remote, but could not program the OriginalKeyless one. The technician was not aware that it was not an Audi remote. When he couldn't program it, he checked and determined that, according to the part number, OriginalKeyless sent me the wrong remote. The parts people at another Audi dealer verified this by phone.
I looked around the OriginalKeyless web site and found a list that shows that the remote they sent me will fit a 1998 to 2002 Audi A6, not my 2003. I looked up the remote for an Audi A8, and found that's what my remote if for.
I emailed OriginalKeyless. They replied by berating me for not going to a locksmith. I replied no one in the area could program an Audi remote, and neither could the dealer. I also told them the part number is wrong for my car.
It's been 4 days and have received no response (the first response was next day.) I have emailed them 3 times since and still no response. I believe OriginalKeyless plans on just ignoring me because there is nothing else I can do. I would appreciate any suggestions as to how I can get a refund or the correct part from OriginalKeyless.

Mistake, not purchased from Original Keyless

I made a mistake. I did not purchase the keyless entry in question from Original Keyless, but from another company. I now understand why they did not respond to my complaint. I could not remove this report, but wish to retract it with apologies.
