I had a similar issue with OPG and they did not stand behind the sale. They sent me the wrong part - it did not even match the other related parts they sent me. Yet, evne though they acknowledged the error, they would not accept the part back because the all-white box it came it was not available.

It's not often that I ever feel compelled to respond to a complaint like this but I've used Original Parts Group on numerous occassions in the restoration of several vehicles and while yes, there may have been that occassional mistake, I've not had the problems that Bill talks about here. In one instance when I was restoring my '71 GTO convertible I ordered a pair of rear power window regulators complete with motors that were on sale in the catalog. When my order arrived it turned out to be the front window regulators. I called OPG and the person I dealt with was very friendly and helpful and offered me a return label or if I wanted he would ship me the rear regulators for the sale price and pay the shipping. I agreed and they shipped the regulators only again they were for the front. When I called to tell them of the mistake, the person I talked to was very apologetic and upon doing some further investigation found that the rear regulators were not available though the catalog showed that they were. He said he would get a return label out right away and that if I wanted I could still return the original pair that I had agreed to keep. The bottom line, mistakes can happen in any business and I have always found the service at OPG to be quite good. If Bill thinks they're bad he should check out Year One and their outragous shipping prices along with their premium prices they charge for parts or try walking into a N.A.P.A, or Checker or Autozone etc. and see how concerned the person waiting on you there is about your needs and if they get it right or not. The fact is that businesses have to rely on their people and sometimes it might happen that the person you're dealing with might be having a bad day but that's no reason to condem the buisness for it. I'm all about consumerism but sometimes I think we tend to take it a little too far.
